The lyrics is about a guy who's addicted to winning, an egotist who doesn't care that he's not fighting any actual competition, but that he's winning, and how it makes him feel big and bad by essentially bullying. A lot of their songs show you just how stupid it looks to take things to the extreme, which in turn gives a very needed dose of good sense.

Always thought the lyricist is the self proclaimed god and had a nice sinister tone to it. Now... its got that edge in the end of becoming nothing, that were never in the lyrics themselves.
