@@brewfortwo it’s not black and white. The group you’re talking about is a small minority that want the old heritage to stay the way it was and want a seperate government too. But the majority is firmly Islamic. As a matter a fact is we look to the people who do the most voor Islam in Morocco are Amazigh people. Especially the Amazigh from the north (Rif people). And a lot of Arab Moroccans are secular and don’t practice at all. So like i said. It’s not that black and white in Morocco. Morocco has a complicated demographic.

if your daughter is capable of being scientist, doctor, engineer, ceo would you tell her that your primary responsibility it to get married and have babies, so forget your capability attend some cooking and sewing classes, it will help you be a good wife/mother. this is a very narrow view of looking at life. forget feminism, if you kids (boys/girls) have a gift, encourage then to pursue it.
If she can balance both marriage and career life and not fall into haram, sure. But nowadays, what we're seeing is women who end up prioritizing career either don't get married (and sleep around), they try and get married but their high status isn't desirable to men and they don't desire men who have less power and make less money, or they do end up getting married very late and it causes issues in terms of conceiving, taking care of the kids (because they're always at work) and results in kids being put in daycare to be brought up by the state.
Also, why do people talk down on housewives? It's been ingrained into people's heads by liberalism, feminism, capitalism that the only way a woman can contribute to society is by working for a male boss or corporation. Housewives have an important job of making sure the kids are raised properly the the house is in order.
Society speaks for itself nowadays. Women are more unhappier than ever (you can only suppress your biological needs for a spouse, children with alcohol, drugs, money, work, desires for so long) and end up going through a crisis and regretting their decisions they made in their 20's. By the time they've realize they've screwed up, they can't have children or a spouse because they're too old.
Lastly, Islamically, a woman's responsibility isn't work first and foremost. It's her religion, marriage, kids. On the day of judgment, her career isn't going to matter.
Scientists CEOS boardroom members can't make offspring. Think about that. The woman ensures continuation of the human race, she is the school, the university, thereby ensuring the intelligence of the human racr. Just let that simmer in your mind for a few days.
