      @@azzy8669 alright so the thing that usually tells someone they are trans is that they feel more comfortable being called a different gender than the one they were assigned at birth. Though dysphoria can happen, some trans people are comfortable with the body they were born with! Sorry if this doesn't make sense I suck at explaining things lol

I got confused and my PTSD was at an all-time high. I attempted suicide and was hospitalized, my PTSD was actually treated and I realized that I just felt that I would feel safer as a man. It would be less likely for me to be raped again if I had a penis. I've successfully gone through a PTSD-specific treatment for everything I've gone through, and I have come to understand that it's common for girls who are raped to question their identity. “Sexuality and gender is confusing”
    THIS IS WHY WE SHOULD BE TAUGHT ABT THIS IN SCHOOL!!!!!!!!!
    We were never taught the meanings of lgbt in SCHOOL which needs to be changed I used to not know what Asexual and Non binary meant because we aren’t taught these things once we get into health class we need to get these subjects into schools yeah Ik this isn’t abt the video but it’s important

    • @ravensrealm1170
      @ravensrealm1170 Před 3 lety +75

      True, more awarness especially in schools would 100% help some people find their identity but others may still be confused ( which is 100% okay) but we should also be careful who is teaching it if it does happen. Personally i think someone in the community skills teach it because no matter how much someone supports us i don't believe they can 100% understand us ( hell some of us some understand ourselves )
      Thats just my opinion. But yes, we need more awareness especially for young people who are confused/questioning

    During puberty, I kept thinking I was trans but then I would feel feminine, it was very confusing, and I was envious of men, but I just realized that I just like being masculine as a female, so I can be masculine and feminine and that's alright and stay a female, it was never for attention and I was just trying to figure it out, but I never came out because I wasn't sure and that is the appropriate thing to do.

    I know I'm late to the party but I wanted to share a story.
    The other day my dad made me come grocery shopping on the way back we got on the topic of trans people. I told him about this study I read about how doctors had this machine where they could look at someones brain but not see the person. They would then guess the gender and the trans men were identified as men, trans women were identified as women. He then whent on this lecture about how everyone has physical traits that are of the opposite sex and how being trans is a choice. This is the same reason why I havnt told them I'm trans. My mom knows I'm bi but im to scared to say a thing about being trans because according to him "you chose your gender and you chose to get the surgeries" I also told him how it could help mental health but he couldnt care less. To any parents reading this, please respect your kids and their identity.

      Laura Martin-Falla she also says “natural woman” or “natural born woman” instead of afab. She doesn’t say cisgender either. She doesn’t know any of the terms and I HAVE NO IDEA how she could have been seeing a gender therapist for 6 months and doesn’t know these terms?? I understand if she was trying to dumb down the language for her regular viewers, but she continues this theme in her other two videos which are specifically directed at the hate she’s getting and the trans people talking about her, so I feel like she just doesn’t know what the words mean.
