The first movement of Bach's cantata 180, sung live during the morning Cantata service in May 2021 at St Andrew's Cathedral, Sydney. The Ancient Academy of St Andrew's is playing on historical instruments, conducted by Ross Cobb.
Lift, my soul, the veil of darkness.
Leave all sin and search the brightness
of the light that's everlasting,
and reflect this light unending.
For the Lord of grace and mercy
now invites you to his glory.
God, who is in heaven ruling
will within you then be dwelling.
