Thank you for doing something fun! The impact at the end was indeed Risky. It was also good to meet you and see your drone mobile while in Huntington. ~Chuck Jaeger
This was a great video. I live within 30 miles from Evansville and I've had the privilege to take the tour on the LST a couple of times over the last several years. Its full of great historical artifacts and displays. Now I need to plan another trip to the LST so I can see how they used your footage. Great job Ken.
This is wonderful! I am an old LST sailor myself from the 1970's class LSTs! This LST preceded my LST but nonetheless just as special! We are/were known as the Gator Navy! My LST had the pleasure and honor of going through all 21 locks in 1978 through the Great Lakes! I'll return to elaborate when I have time. Enjoy this fabulous amphib ship! God bless!
Really great Ken and support team, glad you are finally getting the doors and hatches open to you to do these special places. Well done Ken well done:)
Blow that whistle! What an amazing opportunity and wonderful presentation. I like how he used the paper map. Good timing on that power loop and fun to see you using all the different drones. Risk it for the Biscuit! I see they will be here in Pittsburgh Over the Labor day weekend!
3:57 yup - experienced that boat landing joy most recently too on the waters of Lake Minnetonka where we went to cleanse our souls… 7:33 I drive by the lead locks of Mississippi always hoping for such a day; 9:24 DAM 9:33 double dam…. 13:30 epic promotion shot captured …. Let’s just hit this gap out of frame for a little funzies😅 18:13 wow this thing seems huge 👏👏👏
A lot of history on that ship and you showed it well. Got some great penetration with the avata 2. I puckered up when it crashed into the ship over water. You look like you had a full day of fun. Great video!!
I’m only 35miles from Owensboro. Would love to have seen this going up the Ohio River. You had an opportunity of a lifetime and you rocked it. Like a BOSS. Nice flying Ken. See you at Mindfield.
Cool trip gonna put that on the bucket list. Here in Virginia. I'm gonna make that trip to see that bad boy. We love you guy's an crew. Great history lesson. Keep on flying my friends
Awesome videos, Ken. My oldest daughter lives in Evansville and I've toured the LST. If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and visit this historic vessel.
My wife recently flew her drone around the USS Lexington... I also flew around that LST-325 ship a year ago before it left for the trip to get recertified at Galveston. Thanks for sharing...
Remarkable job flying inside and outside the LST325. It seems to me that I recall you making footage of this ship a while back. Is this a new video or a replay? Amazing Piloting either way! Bravo Sir!!!
Another great video just do you know I'm always available If you need a spotter or second pilot man how much fun that would be thanks Ken for another great video 👍👍👍👍
Just celebrated the liberation, 80 years, of the Province, south of France by the US marines, so your wonderful video just made it so real. (And hoping that the journey for the third world war would stop) 🇫🇷
How do you maintain a good signal strength inside a metal structure? I noticed in an earlier video you had to be pushed around on a chair when doing a house interior.
So glad you enjoyed it! It acted a little funny after it was flying for so long with zero satellites when it finally got one it didn't know what to do with it.
May I use some of this footage, (tagging you in it) for my video. I ghost hunted this ship and I don't have a drone? If not it's totally ok but I wanted to ask.
Critical infrastructure at the lock? Was there an FAA restricted or prohibited zone? We have a “critical infrastructure” law in my state and its simply not enforceable in any way I can see.
This was a great video. I like the history side of it. Question - When you came through the lock you stated that it was critical infrastructure and that you need special permission to fly there. My question is how did you know it was critical infrastructure? I looked at several maps and NOTAMs and couldn't find the lock listed on anything. Is there a map for "critical infrastructure"?
Is there a rule in place that says you can't pass gas down the voice tube to your crewman 😂😂😂😂 preferably when he was eavesdropping and replying about ice cream 😂😂😂 the Ole bait n switch 😂😂😂
@@KenHeron I’m based in Port Orange, Florida, right next to the iconic Daytona Beach and its famous speedway. Since starting my channel, I’ve embraced traveling and have been inspired by your content on how to seamlessly incorporate my drone into my videos!
Hey that's awesome! I was actually born in Florida. I'm glad that you have found my channel helpful. I might be coming to Ocala in the next couple months.
This video brings positivity to the wild flying drone community! Great job Ken!!!

Thanks Ken!!! I really enjoyed this video
I am still tired and a little dehydrated, but that was one of the highlights of my life. And, we only yelled at each other once. Win win.
Couldn't have done it without you buddy! 😊👍
What a super awasome video Ken 👌 Thanks for hunting down success!
😊♥️

Cherishing every moment my friend!
That was indeed a "Love Boat"😘
😀♥️
Way too cool, Ken.
Thanks buddy.
great video, seems like a really nice crew
They were all super nice!
You are truly talented to be able to talk your way onto a Navy boat like that. Very impressive they let you do that.
They were very kind to do so. 🇺🇲
Awesome sauce!!!

You rock, Doc!
I'd like to see them come to Arizona lol... Would have to be during "monsoon" season. What an awesome opportunity.
It would take them a month to get out there at 10 miles an hour! 😆
Absolutely awesome!
Amazing!
Thanks!
What a great opportunity and video Ken. Thanks for sharing. Like 69 👍😎
I cherished every sweaty hot moment on that ship. ♥️🇺🇲
Way cool.
i feel like I just went on the coolest school field trip
That's the vibe I was trying to convey! Thanks! 🤓👍
"Please keep away from metal" :)
The metal frame of a table at our field does often cause the need for recalibration for a Phantom 4 as well.
Good times
Great video
Thanks!
Oh this is, Now.
Remarkable job flying inside and outside the LST325. It seems to me that I recall you making footage of this ship a while back. Is this a new video or a replay?
Amazing Piloting either way! Bravo Sir!!!
The last time I filmed that ship was 6 years ago. This video is from 4 days ago. Super fun day!
Another great video just do you know I'm always available If you need a spotter or second pilot man how much fun that would be thanks Ken for another great video 👍👍👍👍
Cool thanks!

Absolutely Peter!
Viva la France!🇫🇷 👍
Livin the Dream Ken is!
Wait a fantastic day to be sure! 😊
Hell, yeah man, always a pleasure watching!!
😊♥️
How do you maintain a good signal strength inside a metal structure? I noticed in an earlier video you had to be pushed around on a chair when doing a house interior.
I think the metal actually helps.
That, and elfin magic.
Return to home would be interesting 😜🚁
Absolutely!
I have a friend who sailed on the LST-325 in WW II. He has given me a couple of tours of the ship over the year. If you see him tell Erwin I said Hi.
So great!
Will do. 🇺🇲
Wow Ken I wish I knew you were in town, I live in Owensboro Kentucky
Great City! Beautiful waterways.
The cops going to get you😂😂😂😂😂
Uh-oh. 🤪
I have been interested in navy ships and wanna get some w my drone. This tho would be my dream come true
Another amazing video, love your stuff. Did the drone stop responding to input briefly when it got outside?
So glad you enjoyed it! It acted a little funny after it was flying for so long with zero satellites when it finally got one it didn't know what to do with it.
Wow thats so cool you got to fly on that ship was it trippy flying and having the boat rock?
It was very trippy being on it, but since it was on a river, it didn't rock all that much. It would be a different story on the ocean!
Wondering why Evansville? The LST ships and Republic P-47 Thunderbolt warbirds were produced in Evansville, IN.
Evansville was a big manufacturer for the war effort.
floating cannons , what drones were made for , HAZAA. BEAUTIFULL
May I use some of this footage, (tagging you in it) for my video. I ghost hunted this ship and I don't have a drone? If not it's totally ok but I wanted to ask.
Sure!
I did the same thing:
czcams.com/video/h7iES8nNwmk/video.htmlsi=31scCSs5y72GP3rf
When you flew inside with the Avata, did you fly in manual, normal or sport mode? I have had problems flying in a metal structure in GPS modes.
Normal mode
Critical infrastructure at the lock?
Was there an FAA restricted or prohibited zone?
We have a “critical infrastructure” law in my state and its simply not enforceable in any way I can see.
Ken, that was some great flying. But you should’ve known not to depend on the orange drone. Dji is still the best.
I'll have to agree. 👍
Things like dams, power stations, nuclear plants, substations, coal plants, railroad properties etc. are considered critical infrastructure.
What happen to the German battleship emden.i remember it was firing off the coast of madras during ww2.
Makasaysayan ship marami syang na I hambog 😮😮
So glad you do that. More people need to know about it.
I'm so jealous you got to blow that horn brother.
It was a lot more fun than I thought it would be! ☺️
👍👍😀😀👌👌
🇺🇦👍😊
Don’t fly Drones? Don’t know what you’re missing!

Jake Paul doesn't care if wins or loses, it's massive publicity for him either way and he's enjoying the attention no matter what.
I don't know who that is, but thanks for watching!
Is there a rule in place that says you can't pass gas down the voice tube to your crewman 😂😂😂😂 preferably when he was eavesdropping and replying about ice cream 😂😂😂 the Ole bait n switch 😂😂😂
I have no doubt that has been done before. 💩😆
