- This is a shortened version of my Mode Eighty TKL build stream with GMK Peaches n' Creams. I also included my thoughts about this keyboard post-stream. I ran into a lot of issues with this keyboard-if you're building this keyboard with the solderable PCB, make sure your keycaps are not hitting the top case before you solder it.

With help from Mode support, I unscrewed the bottom 3 screws, shifted the PCB assembly around, and managed to get the F-row keycaps to no longer rub against the top case, just barely. No luck on the pom plate build however.
This keyboard sounds so good!
Agreed! Love the Marshmallow switches on this board
I'm waiting on supplies for my first build, and I have a TKL planned in the future, so even the highlights from a stream like this were helpful in giving me things to consider while I'm putting things together. I'm sticking with hotswap builds for now (they're more common now than they used to be, which is why I felt a little more comfortable waiting to enter into this hobby lol), but knowing that things like this still happen gives me a bit more info on taking my time and testing things out. Thanks!

That's really unfortunate, so many hours go into building a keyboard (not to mention the arrival wait time). However, I still found the stream was really helpful. One of my upcoming keyboards has a POM plate so I appreciate you being so transparent with your challenges!

Hi Jimmy it sucks you had such a bad experience, it is a pretty penny, so I would expect the QA to be better. I was able to build mine just fine, and am loving it so far.

I built my Pom plate with pinoko switches and I have the same issues my keys on that side aren’t rubbing by a hair tho my FR4 plate build was way better I think it’s just the Pom going to try the hot swap one next on aluminum

Thanks! I did not use the middle foam because I didn't want the keyboard to have too much of a muted sound profile
