Exactly, chills and tears started rolling down (I'm rarely ever emotional esp for shows/movies) when they played the song at full volume at the line "Your are my North Star" and then Amenadiel spreads his wings! Nothing else like that feeling of redemption when you're vulnerable. POWERFUL moment.

This was the last episode of my husband and I watched together before I found him dead on early Tuesday morning after suddenly passing away from a brain aneurysm. Today, I had his body cremated and brought his ashes home to be scattered next Monday on what would have been our 31st anniversary of love and friendship, including 16 years of those being married. Now, I find out that the season finale to be broadcast on my anniversary will be a SERIES finale. I've been listening to this song constantly, crying all this week. This song speaks so aptly to how I feel now. :'(

"Will you . . . will you pelease stay with me?" I've watched Lucifer a dozen times. I can handle Mom being sent to another universe where she'll never see her children again. I can handle Lucifer crumbling after Uriel's death. Sometimes I can handle Amenadiel laying his necklace on Caleb. I can even handle Lucifer telling Chloe she's his first love while at the same time leavig her to protect the world. But I cannot ever handle Charlotte's death. It just destroys me every time.
the reason her death hits so hard is because you could see the terror in her eyes because she knew her overwhelming guilt was going to take her back to her hell. with out Amenadiel basically helping her carry that weight she was holding onto and carrying her to heaven was what gave her peace.
@@ChrisHJohnson93 yeah, that's always been one thing about the show that completely nauseates and creeps me out. If the whole guilt thing was true, then in the Lucifer world, hell would be full of depressed people who are actually good (they feel guilt all the time for every tiny thing they do) and heaven is full of sociopaths (who feel no guilt over anything). That aspect of the show was just NOT thought out well. It's why the season 3 finale horrified me and why I wasn't surprised when I heard about the first cancelation. I figured it was mostly ratings, but also partly because of the horrifically dark turn the show suddenly took. I'm glad it's back and season 5 is mind blowing, but I still cringe in horror every time they talk about the guilt thing.

Not Many realize That Lucifer Is A DC comic character and that's how hell Works in that universe as well. but yes I feel like the God Fucked over people like Charlotte who was just doing her job and upholding a very important part of our justice System lol but yeah Her acting was 10/10 for making it look like she was truly scared to go back.

I just saw this scene and I’m crying. So much. I called my sister and told her how much I loved her. She asked me what was wrong because I was crying so much. She stayed with me on the phone line and just talked to me until I calmed down. She stayed with me. That’s how much this scene made me emotional. OMG I love the emotions. I've seen every single Lucifer episode, and the end of this one was easily one of the most emotional moments of the entire series. The only other one that really comes to mind as comparable was back in Season 2 Episode 13 when they played "Unsteady" by X Ambassadors...again a scene centered around Charlotte. I've seen every single Lucifer episode, and the end of this one was easily one of the most emotional moments of the entire series. The only other one that really comes to mind as comparable was back in Season 2 Episode 13 when they played "Unsteady" by X Ambassadors...again a scene centered around Charlotte.
