- Dubai, known for its relentless sun, was surprised by sudden storm weather on April 16th. Streets, usually dry, were adorned with shimmering puddles. Residents, unused to rain, paused to marvel at the unexpected spectacle before the desert reclaimed its dry domain. This was a week to remember… Not only did I witness the worst rain in my life, but my friends and I also got to travel to the Philippines to celebrate the 40th birthday of a very dear friend of ours. The aftermath of the rain caused some panic at the airport.

The rain caused a bit of leakage in the extended areas, but luckily it wasn't anything major. I'm glad my friends didn't have much damage to their homes either.
