How are you liking the touring? I want something not obnoxious but also able to hear better pops and burbles. Is it just barely louder than stock or a decently louder when on the throttle?
@@Blackmk8 Your driving modes will effect shift points and throttle sensitivity (as well as the burbles when in sport mode). They don't have an influence on exhaust operation, but with lower shift poinst and lower throttle sensitivity, the motor will stay in the lower RPM range thus staying well mannered.
I’m getting the touring edition for my Mk8 after watching this video. Thank you for taking the time to put together a comparison video. Love the sound of the track edition but it isn’t for me.
The Pigpen-sized cloud of insects gifted to the select few of us that were not inside of vehicles this day was quite strong--their buzzing certainly doesn't assist. Apologies!
We made sure to facilitate a 3" connection at the typical break point to enable downpipes to be mated to our system. If the DP reduces to factory diameter, our exhaust will accommodate that as well.
I love the touring kit. I know this is for the Mk8 GTI but would the touring kit itself fit on a 2018 Tiguan. Ofcourse I would need to keep the factory piping up front and cut the stock muffler and such. Please let me know 😊
Maybe I’m getting old and can’t hear too well. But how much louder is the track vs touring. I ordered a GTI clubsport muffler but it’s back ordered for a few more weeks. I don’t want to be obnoxiously loud but from the videos they sound pretty close (track vs touring) . The track is a few hundred cheaper too. Do you have a comparison of decibels?
They are close in sound, the biggest difference is inside the cabin. The Touring Edition is equipped with drone-canceling 180 Technology® resonators so you can expect subdued tones while cruising where the Track Edition will have more pronounced volume at cruising speeds. If you are worried about drone, or plan to add other aftermarket components to your exhaust I would go with the Touring Edition, personally. However, no matter which you choose we offer conversion kits so you can go from a Track to a Touring or vise versa that way you are never stuck and always have options :)
I had the AWE Touring on my 2.5L Jetta and absolutely loved it. Question though, the inside cabin sounds, are those with the SoundAktor completely turned off and straight exhaust sounds?
Our patented drone-canceling solution. Straight pipe performance without the drone. Get some details on it right here: czcams.com/video/HAidjOSe4rI/video.htmlsi=kOOSfJk0qzc5g8ee
Haven't done a physical swap, but given the wider openings in the CS valance, you'll obviously have some open air in those areas but horizontally you should be a-okay.

Just bought and am running AWE Touring. Best system out there. Hands down. And if you want it louder they have a "conversion kit."
You bet, can always convert from a Track to Touring or vise versa so you always have options!
How are the cold starts? Still decently quiet?

@@ubaidtanveer3890which did u end up going with
Just installed mine and it’s sooo much deeper than i thought. It’s literally the perfect exhaust for the GTI.
Just curious man does the exhaust get quieter at all with eco / comfort compared to sport or is it the same for all of them? Thanks
Also is it track or touring?

You guys should invest in a higher quality microphone as there is a lot of crackling noise. The exhausts sound great though 👍

Would love to hear how it sounds with a after market downpipe
Same, wish I could find a clip of it before I pull the plug an buy it

Yaa!!!!
Can you fit a aftermarket downpipe like Unitronic’s onto the touring system???

Unfortunately we don't offer an exhaust configuration for the Tiguan.

Good question. We turned off what we could from the onboard UI, but we did not go in with VAGCOM and disable it.
@@awetuning Good to know! Thanks for the info. Just waiting for my GTI to get a production date.
Can yall make a exhaust for jeep renegade/500x 2.4 I have a 500x with headers I think it wound sound good with your exhaust
No plans yet, but thank you for the suggestion!
Were the revs just to the 4k rpms soft limiter? Or was there a tune
No software on the vehicle. All stock aside from the exhaust.
I can’t decide between the AWE touring and the APR Catback exhaust 😭 anyone have experience with this?
Always a safer move when betting on American-made T304L stainless steel. Our 5" tips are pretty perfect on the Mk8 as well ;)
Which did u end up going with?
Any plans for a downpipe to add to this system?
No downpipes, all of our systems are catback so we keep it emissions compliant.

Are they legal in California?
Neither the Touring nor Track Edition systems interefere with emissions equipment.
Does it fit the clubsport diffuser?

Lol those tips are huge 😅 what size?
5" double-walled, slash-cut
is the Track Legal in California?
It's emissions compliant as it doesn't touch any factory emissions equipment.
@@awetuning what about the decibel reading 🤔
@@cesarxp_ negative, sorry.

Rotiform KB1.
My 1985 GTI 8V sounded better, let alone the awesome music from my MK4 R32 VR6 engine.
weird flex but ok

That’s your opinion dude. Not a fact.
