Shhh, it's on dailymotion ... haven't seen it all, but can say the "Dynasty" part is longer (e.g. with a hilarious scene about who, Joan or John, is gonna accept an award for the show on stage..)
I watched this series as a teenager on TV. Now I have the whole series on DVD. I found it boring at first until Joan Collins arrived then the show really took off!! Thank you .... you saved the show!!
@@jackdoe4632 OK, that's your opinion and I can respect that. However, having watched it in the 1980's and watching it again now on Pluto TV, I think the first season sucked. It was incredibly dull and boring - in my opinion. To each his or her own. We can't all have the same opinions about everything all the time. However, facts are facts. And the fact is - it was near the bottom of the ratings at the end of season 1 (at least here in the U.S.) and there was talk (in the U.S.) that it would probably be cancelled. Aaron Spelling was given one chance to "spice it up." I remember that from way back then. So Joanie isn't lying about her saving the show. The ratings going through the roof and the show going to #1, with her in it, back that up. Maybe season 1 did well in England but not here in the States, by any stretch of the imagination. Dynasty premiered in the U.S. in January of 1981. When did it start in England?
@@keenahansel9104 Katy Kurtzman and Bo Hopkins were absolutely fabulous in Season 1!! Two of my favorite actors from Season 1!! Katy should have been awarded something for her portrayal of Lindsay Blaisdel . She was pure emotion. The character of Matthew Blaisdel was also superbly outlined. The first season of Dynasty was different from the rest, but I wouldn't say it was dull - I think it formed a good , solid introduction to the entire series! That's my opinion.

Kudos to Joan for coming to Dynasty, but I still think Season 1 was the best one in the entire series, although its ratings weren't impressive.
