I'm telling you man 3-4 star is the most MEME MMR that you want to be in being in 5 star MMR is just almost the same as being in 4 the main difference that i've seen in most of my games are people running more Meta loadouts. 6 stars is where you get people like Hornet and RachtaZ.

S+ when you pick it up, B tier TOPS when you have to buy it.
The follow up shot with the drilling is really hard to pull off if you don't have really good aim, its also way too expensive to justify buying if you don't have a lot of money
Regardless, i still think its a really good weapon for skilled players, nice vid!
I love the drilling so much. Something about it is just so good for wallbanging. I definitely get more wallbangs with it than any other gun

Best part about the drilling is that it’s satisfying 😎feels like a shotgun but shoots like a rifle. Then there’s an underslung actual shotgun

The drilling became on of my favorites. I just love the versatility of having a shotgun as good as a Romero with me all the time. I am a shotgun main but sometimes I wanna be a rifle guy. …. If my rifle has a shotgun to it, I can play as usual ^^ its fun as hell. Price is basically ok for the best of both worlds thing

Not really, for something like the drilling the drop probably start after 80m, and they said for 15m to 25m after that there's barely a difference, so yeah 100m fight won't change, you'll only really feel it above 150m or trying to snipe I guess.
Yeah its good, but I would pay $350 not $500 for what it does. $275 ( or whatever OG Uppercut price was,$245?)for baby Drilling. +$5-$10 for blade version.
Luckily I have finished all my Drilling family in the gun book. Don't get me wrong I would rather pay the $500 for Drilling than Cyclone; but it still feels unusually expensive for what it does.

My biggest issue with drilling is picking my other gun, cuz drilling pairs well with everything.
Also the number 1 complaint I see is its price and frankly ill never understand price as an argument on a gun less than 750$. Like im 4 star hunter on a good day (more like 3 most of the time) and I run lots of expensive loadouts (almost always spending 800-1250$) and I only go broke once in a blue moon, like its actually a treat to be out of money and forced to run truly wacky budget stuff, like not bringing guns or not having vitality and regen shots.
economy isn't a real balancing factor it's mostly just to give an idea of the value of the gun you're getting. it primarily hurts bad/new players, i still think drilling is overpriced and not on the same level of a mosin/mosin sniper or lebel/lebel marksman even with all it's versatility. But people see clips like this and think it's op lmao

I kind of wish the drilling was more like its real life counterpart, a double barrel shotgun with one high caliber high power barrel underneath. But i feel like for this game that would be way to strong
Drilling just means triplet, there are multiple types and configurations. Some have 2 shotgun barrels and a rifle barrel, some have 2 rifle barrels and one shotgun barrel, one type has a pistol round barrel, a rifle round barrel, and a shotgun barrel.
There is multiple variations of the drilling that came out in the 1800s

Why does it seem that streamers can jump forever and not have any penalty movement but when I jump three times I have instant penalty movement

I wonder if the drilling's front sight will also be receiving just a little bit of a cleanup as some of the other guns are getting, that front sight's bead can be a little bit too big and often obstructs view just a bit much, it can be just a little vague on where exactly you are aiming- especially when going for a moving headshot around 60m+ or so since the bead is really chonky.
Drilling is either too expensive or velocity is too low. Fix that and it will be. A tier for sure. Right now it’s a no contest for me. Really really wish it was good though i love the idea

whenever i use drilling i always manage to die with it, it is a fun gun though and feels really good to use
Obviously fmj is great, but how do you feel about the other ammo options? Is flachette worth it, considering the strong buckshot and slugs?
flechette is a big gamble because you wont be getting oneshots close , for me personally its either fmj or regular depending on how i feel

No, its always been pretty decent. Just shy of a romero in terms of spread/range. With specter being third, I THINK Drilling is the second tightest spread?
Not sure off the top of my head, But its close regardless. But like most long barreled shotguns, its got a lil more range than you'd initially think (by like 5-10m, Ive seen noobs shoot buckshot at 60m. Its cute, like watching a toddler stumble learning to walk).
Hell, even the Uppermat with buckshot, let ALONE slugs (those fuckers are nasty on it) is pretty good.

I usually use sidearm for FMJ as I usually wallbang at close range, where velocity doesn't matter. Thus I run drilling with normal ammo for max velocity, the penalty on be special types is severe. Though you could kill with just a bag of decoys, so velocity is not a factor 😁
But is long range wallbang handy? Plus you could try wallbang with FMJ sidearm, it's got relatively similar velocity. Or is it about not having to switch to sidearm?
Or is it mostly for two tap range? I barely ever need third shot, but maybe I just never use it at these long ranges
Pardon the curiosity, I really struggle to understand special ammo usefulness for drilling in particular, I only use dumdum on handcannon in close range with another gun for long range
@@yerbear oh, I meant why use FMJ on drilling. Drilling is great, but to me FMJ cuts your velocity and ammo resupply, so I use FMJ on sidearm instead
Fmj on medium ammo guns is just really good, the velocity isn't that noticable and it carries it's damage further and will do full damage through walls. Very worth it
Only problem with the drilling, is the darn price.

For me Drilling will always be a overpriced bs, my least favorite weapon in the game.
Also it is supposed to be a double barrel shotgun + single shot long ammo rifle. That would've been way more fun to use.

traditionally yes, but the version we see in the game also existed historically, just rarer. I still want to see crytek add the more common version too!
