But Kurt was generally uncomfortable saying any of his songs were about drugs or anything like that, he didn't want to glorify it, so he wasn't gonna come out and say it. The same way he said about In Utero, "People would be expecting me to write about my life the past year, drugs, things like that, but it's mostly about books and things. Very impersonal. Unpersonal." I wouldn't say it's overrated, it's a really great song and it became famous for all the right reasons. The problem isn't it being famous, but people treating Kurt and Nirvana as a one-trick horse for it.
