Thanks Matt. Just did the upgrade now and it works well. For info of Aussies, I wasn't able to purchase the bearings from McMasters as they don't ship internationally. I also wasnt able to source the exact same size as Matt. However I was able to find something similar which works just as well. Visit BSC bearings. They have stores all over Aus. Ask for bearing product code: D4508-03 or SMF1612. They are manufactured by PM Distribution. The bearing size is ID 8mm / OD 12mm / Length 12mm / Flange thickness 2mm. They fit perfectly. Thanks again Matt
Hey Matt ! The link does not work for me maybe its outdated. Would you be so kind to comment the exact measurements of the part or article number so I can search it up for availability within Europe ? Cheers
How to easily remove slop??? all you need is the brass bushings. No mention where to get them so assume you had them made..Not exactly easy for everyone is it?

As long as it has those dimensions and is solid Bronze or brass, you're good to go.
Sweet! Thanks for hunting down the correct part, and sharing. :)
How often should I relube this bushing?
Noticed you have the red hypertrucks like me. Does your riptide bushings partially hang out like mine?

Thats why it is brass!!! where do I get me some of those brass bushings?
Read the description.
Thanks for the info and the link, do you know the wear over miles? Like longevity of the trucks?
If you keep it clean and lubed, it will likely outlast the board.
I'm surprised they didn't have Venom make an upgrade option for this..
How does this affect maintenance/longevity of the trucks? I would have thought that metal on metal rubbing should be avoided.
I highly doubt it as the brass is soft so would also deform over time but will last much longer. Brass has been used as bushings for centuries.
They are actually Bronze...which is softer metal than the 7075 AL used on the hypertrucks. Use plenty of lithium grease to keep it all working.
Think steam locomotives these will fine
How has these bushing held up?
Mine look pretty much new. Make sure to check them often / relube, etc. And don't use the oil filled versions, only use the solid bronze I link here.
Are hypertrucks compatible with standard longboard decks?
You would need an angle adapter
@@haskellcrow3524 damn I feel like an idiot for having asked that question two months ago lol. Learned so much from esk8 forums since.
@@AhilMohan nah. It's a good question. You're not an idiot, you're uninformed.
