Just watched your review.. picked up this bottle from the NIeman Marcus deal they have going right now.. I absolutely hate the bulb atomizer.. looks like they have gotten rid of the bulb atomizer.. because the one I’ve ordered doesn’t have one, thankfully.. gray vid, Timmy!
I am sampling this today! I really love it. This is way more up my alley than Fève Délicieuse. It’s not so gourmand to me which I love. It reminds me of one of my favorite fragrances which is Imperial Oppoponax by Les Néréides which is unfortunately discontinued 😭 I am going to buy this for sure.
I Got a new sealed bottle on an Ebay auction for just over 100, blind buy, i was quite underwhelmed by it unfortunately, i ended up selling it for more than I paid for it as i prefer Feve delicieuse in this genre
razscott I honestly don’t really understand the feve delicieuse reference it always gets. Especially considering this came out nearly a decade prior so If anything you’d think feve would get the backlash for attempting to try and copy tonka. But again I’m just not certain I’d even categorize them as similar scents on my skin in particular feve is way sweeter than tonka is. But ayyyyyy skin chemistry lol
Angelique Noire was the only guerlain I have tried and I just wasn't a fan. Way too floral. The only thing holding me back from trying this one, is that people say it's very similar to feve delicieuse. FD is significantly cheaper for how much you get.
King Metta I understand that wholeheartedly. Angelique noire is my favorite from the line but I absolutely get where you’re coming from. Tonka imperiale isn’t too similar to feve in my opinion. Feve has a bit of a roasted nutty quality or some kind of hazelnut thing going on that makes its quality come off as much cheaper smelling than tonka on my skin, however I really like feve, just tonka will forever be light years better imho. That being said, they’re again very similar and if the price for the simplicity turns you off I one hundred percent get it.
You have to pay the big bucks if you want your frag to have a built in testicle! 😂 On a serious note... Great review Tim! I will probably never get to smell something like this in my lifetime, but I appreciate the learning experience!
