Woahhh!!!! This is my favorite Clark performance of all time. It brings tears to my eyes and it shows their sound, it shows Jacky’s ability to float on a song, it shows how Denise is essential to their sound, it shows how incredible Twinkie is at arrangements and writing music, and it shows how these sisters have untouchable harmony and chemistry!
Because she does not sing lead much or do a whole lot of the stuff vocally the others do. I think sometimes she doesn't have confidence in her abilities......I know she be carrying that bottom though for sho!

Nobody talks about Jacky and Denise having the same singing style. I feel like Jacky would have more confidence in her voice if Denise stayed. They both didn't do a bunch of vocal acrobats like the other sisters.
I so agree they both were really different singers from the other three who vocals are off the chain. Soothing is more like it to me. To bring down the vocal power of the three Denise and Jacky stepping in to do sweet ballads would’ve really worked more in their favor.
They have a similar style but at the same time so different. They both have the same voice type as well. Jacky has a voice that’s naturally agile but because of her confidence she tries to completely it very simple. You can hear it in just regulars things that she does with her voice. Denise has a light voice that isn’t that agile and more uniquely similar to her mothers but she tries to do those things. Don’t get me wrong they all can do runs and riffs and things but just an analysis that I’ve noticed.
I wish they had seperate mics so we could hear Denise and Dorinda's blend in the Alto section. I like that Denise sang Alto with Dorinda here instead of Soprano with Karen.

@@jordanelder9061 no the altos have the melody. If you sing the song by yourself and sung the soprano harmony in this key…that wouldn’t be the harmony. If you sing the middle like or the alto like by yourself then you would be singing the melody.
