Meet Rex, the Bearded Collie | The Dog House | Woodgreen Pets Charity

Star of The Dog House, Rex, enjoyed eight blissful years with his adoring family. Tragically, everything changed when his human dad passed away. His owner was left struggling to care for their beloved canine companion alone, and Rex was brought into our care.
Rex struggled to settle into kennel life and we knew he’d be much happier in a foster home. And what better person to take care of him than our own wonderful behaviourist Sue! She’d spotted him in his kennel ‘crying’ and her heart melted instantly.
After a short, very happy time with Sue, Rex was ready to find his forever family. Sue said: “I cried buckets when he left. I like to think he had a good holiday with me.”
It was during filming for The Dog House that he met Sarah and her children Grace, and Khristopher. They hit it off straight away, so Sarah decided to adopt him - and she’s never looked back!

How any one could give up a beardie is beyond me. They are the nicest, happiest, most affectionate dogs that you will ever meet. My beardie Dougal looks like Rex’s twin brother, and I would never part with him.
