Rest in Peace Garry and Penny Marshall. You both made us laugh through the years with your talents. Thank you.
I was lucky enough to meet Penny when she was directing “ A League of Their Own “ in Evansville, Indiana. I was an extra in the stands. She was a very nice down to earth woman. Between takes she would come over to the extras and tell jokes. Just loved her. Rip dear Penny.
Thank you for posting that.....I have been a fan of Laverne and Shirley ever since I was a little girl.....and I still live for the re runs when I can catch them. It's nice to hear from people who actually met celebrities and hear they're as nice as you thought they were.
Her brother created so many of the hits we watched in the 70s. I remember when Happy Days came on I was at my friends. We watched the first episode having dinner & watching a little TV on the kitchen table. I really miss those days & those friends.
Thank you so much, Keith! Long-time fan of Penny’s, You are so lucky to have this experience to tell! Bless you! ❤
How can you not love Laverne and Shirley. I saw it first run....I am old. lol
When I heard Penny Marshall passed my heart sank. As a kid I would watch Lavern and Shirley every morning before going to school and after school. I would set my alarm so I wouldn't miss an episode in the morning. I loved her and her work growing up as a kid. She was apart of my childhood and brought so many great memories involving my mom and I. She not only was a brilliant actress and director but she brought so much sentimental memories and value to me and my family. A beautiful soul. R.I.P. Penny. You are so missed and loved by everyone. Thanks for all you've given us and all the memories.
What a talent Penny Marshall was both in acting and directing. As always Scott, you were so respectful. RIP Penny Marshall and Gary Marshall.💜🖤🙏
I enjoyed Penny Marshall in Laverne and Shirley and the production of the Preacher's Wife!
the only thing pretty there's a poor animals pretty animals deers or whatever they are
I am such a huge fan of Penny Marshall. I admire her movies, but Laverne & Shirley is the show I never get tired of watching. I have read that since she and Carrie Fisher had similar birthdays, they would throw these amazing joint birthday parties. I hope they are both together now having the best party every. Scott, I always appreciate you and thank you for showing us her home & grave. Take care.
this brought tears to my eyes, RIP Penny, such a talented woman
I remember watching Laverne and Shirley on prime time when I was a kid, and I continued to watch the reruns in syndication. She was a brilliant actress and producer. I loved her so much. I was heartbroken when I learned of her death. It was a real loss.
@@shonacole2124 watched that also happy dayz I still remember the song also I love Lucy was in the mix
Very nice tribute, Scott! As a baseball fan, I know how much Penny Marshall loved the game. “A League of their Own” is my favorite baseball movie and she was the right person to make it
Grrrreat movie, a league of their own, whether you're a baseball fan or not. Fantastic..
"There is no crying in baseball..."
At one point that line was recorded as number 13 in all time great movie lines.
Those things change, but that line deserves to at least be in the top 20...
@@alfredgeorge317 definitely one of the greatest lines ever. I use it often 😄
I remember them both in Hocus Pocus, so funny, may they Rest In Peace
Thank you Scott for showing us Penny. Big fan of hers. Glad her and Gary were buried next to each other. Two wonderful people who will be missed.
I love how you always clean off the headstone, it warms my heart. Thank you Scott!! You are very respectful.
Respectful?? He had NO BUSINESS being there to start with. He took video of someone’s home he had no right to do !
Grew up watching her and she never failed to make me laugh. Rest In Peace Penny. You were one of a kind.
I had the privilege of meeting Garry Marshall's in-laws in the summer of 1995, as me and my Dad were hired to lay the bullnose brick around their swimming pool. Their names were Vivian and Jim. Great video as usual Scott and RIP to legendary Penny Marshall. What talent she gave us. ❤
I love the cursive "L" that was put on her marker - a nod to her Laverne character.
"A League of their Own" was a major hit for her. Her fourth hit movie in a role.
I feel the same way. I was born in November of 1952. I spent a lot of time watching this actress and director. She was GREAT. Give her the respect she deserves. Everywhere and anywhere. Keep up this GREAT work you do!
Alot of credit should also be given to her brother Garry Marshall. If it wasn't for him, no one would have ever heard of Penny Marshall.
This was nice Scott. U R always so respectful with every1. BlessU Brother.... RIP Gary & Penny...
These 2 siblings were a power house in the business. Great memories & films
I so l💞ved "Laverne" AKA Penny Marshall. She will always be "Laverne" to everybody that she brought laughter to!
"Laverne & Shirley" is such a classic watched it as I was growing up since I was a child of the seventies and still watch it today when I catch it on reruns... R.I.P. ⚘Laverne🥀
I remember Laverne and Shirley reruns being on frequently as a kid. But, for me, A League of Their Own has to be one of her best films she’s ever been a part of. It easily ranks up there with the best baseball films of all time.
My favorite memory of Penny and Garry together is there small cameo in Hocus Pocus. Garry Marshall is dressed up as Satan and the Sanderson’s mistake him for their master. Penny was the masters wife. Good stuff!
Wow what a beautiful view up in the Hills where she lived. Thank you Scott for sharing this video. May Penny rest in peace 💞
R.I.P.
Penny Marshall.
Great actress and director.
That Laverne and Shirley show always takes me back to a simple life living in America! So much has changed and the factory they worked in is so long gone! So sad and add to that those people that lived in that period are gone now too! Ah well we have the internet now and so much more to see and do!
I didn't know Penny directed many of the movies mentioned here. Scott, you have the ability to bring these magnificent people to life with your commentary. Thank you for this celebratory and respectful tribute to this wonderful actor and director.
Yaaaay!! What Up Doe😁
I loved her so much. She was phenomenal❤️I was literally an hour late to school everyday during third grade because I refused to leave the house until I watched Laverne & Shirley and The Monkees🤣
I live in the UK and I grew up watching Penny Marshall .Thank-you for this video it was great to see her house. She had a lovely face rest in peace Penny
I'm from the UK and i loved Shirley and Laverne ,it brings back a lot of Happy Memories for me just thinking about it !
Thanks for the laughter Gary and Penny, you are both loved and missed.
What a Beautiful view!!! It looks so peaceful ❤️
She's the best! League of Their Own is the BEST!!! RIP Penny
She directed a league of their own as well...great film...
As a fella from Tennessee,I am fascinated by the amount of wealth stuffed in those hills. I notice in some of your videos how there are rather average cars parked on the street outside these beautiful houses . Which may or may not have a famous neighbor. What the heck do all of those people do for a living? I mean, they can’t all be in show business. Hollywood is truly unique. Love your videos and I admire the work you put into them.
They spend all their money on the houses lol. But no most of the nice cars are in the garages and the regular cars seem to be workers in the area
@babicakez39 cool. I lived in Greeneville in the 70s. I also welded at Worthington industries for 5 years about 3 years ago
Loved Penny Marshall!! She was on The Odd Couple too. Thanks for the video.
Penny Marshall was such a talented and beautiful woman. I was heart broken when she passed. Thank you for the laughter RIP
Thanks for Sharing!!! I grew up on Laverne and Shirley! Hope you have a Wonderful Holiday season!!! 💜💜💜🎉
I also watch Laverne and Shirley as a young adult lived the show and yes such a beautiful view. Thanks Scott.
RIP Penny Marshall 🙏. What A Icon.
Loved her,she was so talented, thanks 4 sharing Scott xo
Thank you... grew up watching Laverne and Shirley...it was hilarious. She reminds me of Lucille Ball's physical comedy. Both great talents.
Penny Marshall was such a wonderful actress, director, and producer. I remember seeing her a very long time ago in a head and shoulders shampoo commercial. Penny was also in the TV Show The Odd Couple. I loved Laverne and Shirley. Penny paved the way for so many women in the industry to become producers and directors of major motion pictures. RIP to Penny and Garry Marshall. Thank you, Scott, for all that you do to bring us these wonderful stories!
Beautiful photography Scott.. loved most of these films what a talented lady. RIP Penny 🇮🇪 💞💞
She had so much talent and charisma and just an all around super human being. She came to earth and changed the world just like she was suppose to do. She is truly missed!
I'd never get tired of looking at that view.
Loved her as Laverne, but also enjoyed her films, a talent for sure! ❤
Laverne & Shirley was in reruns when I was watching it in my youth but I still quote it, even though most have no clue what I’m referring to 😂 “Betty please, Betty pick up please” And at one time, I even had cats named Lenny & Squiggy. I didn’t realize Penny directed Jumpin Jack Flash but that movie sure left an impression on me too and it was at that moment when I saw it that I decided whenever I was old enough to work, it had to be some place where I’m behind a computer, and sure enough if that didn’t come true 😊
RIP Penny 💐
As a kid I remember first seeing her on "The Odd Couple ". Ironically the "Laverne & Shirley" concept was a female version of The Odd Couple.
She's my favorite actress/ director. I loved her growing up. 😢 RIP
I love Laverne and Shirley 🥰
Loved her on L&S but also my favorite voice actress for Mrz BOZ the babysitter Bandit "Lucille Botzcowski" on The Simpsons. RIP L , great job on this Scott
Penny Marshall was a genius movie producer! I loved Laverne and Shirley, but her work as a director and producer stand out to me more! Her brother Garry was a wonderful director and producer too. The talent in that one family was extraordinary! We'll miss their talents for a long time to come.
Awesome tribute to the Marshall family.
Great job on this one!! Penny was the greatest!!
Laverne & Shirley one of my favorites growing up. That was my era so I will always remember her for that great show. I think the 70's was the best time in television, so many great shows! Scott, you took some really beautiful shots there by her house. She did make me laugh and anyone who can do that is my hero. Btw, that includes you 😉 RIP Penny. Your stone and the legacy you left behind says it all ❤💚💜
@@SCOTTONTAPE what's with all you CZcams guys and grave visits
Lazy
Follows the same pattern, work at building up subscriber numbers, then when you reach a high number, you guys back off the pedal.
Walk around and show a grave, don't get it, what's the lure
Easy content
Yeah, once in a while, but good gawd..
Lazy
@@chuckfan1 easy content lolol you go drive to a celebrity home , talk about their life, then drive to a cemetery get the right shot and then edit it with tons of clips and music . And I’ve never “backed off the pedal” or whatever u said , I go hard cause I like what I do and so do a lot of people.
Thank you for your input tho. I can take criticism but thought u should hear my pov.
@chuckfan1 Hey, please leave Scott alone. He is one of the best CZcamsrs out there, and he works hard to make his videos appealing and informative. I'm not really sure why anyone like you would be here just to complain. No one is forcing you to stay and watch. Since you think it's so easy, then let us know what channel you operate so we can see how much better you are at this. Scott is an awesome guy whose passion for what he does shows in every video. He is respectful, dedicated, and can even find the humor in the littlest things. His video's are a complete joy to watch, and I treasure every one of them. I appreciate what he does, and if you don't, then you've overstayed your visit. Constructive criticism is one thing, but to be downright rude is another.
Sorry Scott, I couldn't let this go. Geesh.
@@flocosta easy girl
First off, this is a form of social media, and comments are part of that... and not all comments are cupcakes and rainbows
And was just an observation.
Seems like a lot of the CZcamsrs go out , do the film locations, which of course requires lots of effort. Looking them up, going out and filming them etc
And noticed that once they get a lot of subscribers, all of a sudden all the grave visits kick in. Im guessing theres a lot less involved with that, than other content.
Hey, I get it, dont we all wish we could do less, for the same, or more
Was just an observation. Appreciate what he does... Grave visits, meh, not for me.
But , it is easy content.
So yeah, you can let it go now
Loved Penny Marshall. Such a Great Talent. I Love that they put the L on her marker. RIP Penny. Beautiful video Scott as always☮💖
Thanks for another great video Scott. Lovely view. We have a nice one here off our balcony facing the bay with the colorful sunsets. I love the Grand Canyon sunsets. Mountains of Virginia - North Carolina I love sunsets.
I remember her from her sitcom, never knew she directed movies. How cool!
Garry and Penny also had a remarkable snippet together in Hocus Pocus that I loved too.
Thank you, she was the best❤️
I always liked her as an actress! So funny. Lavern and Shirley one of my favs. RIP
Watched Laverne and Shirley reruns. She was a good director! RIP!!🌹🙏🏽
Love your videos Scott. You are a good man. It must be the Canadian in you and your mom raised you right!! :)
Great video! Thank you for wiping the debris from that grave. I also do that to graves I visit. 💕✌️
Beautiful Scott. Thank you.
We couldn’t wait for Lavern & Shirley to come on! It’s sad that so many of our childhood hero’s have passed. The view she had was awesome. Look forward to what you will record in the future. Happy New Year!!! From the Coalfields of Virginia💜
I love this actress. RIP Penny Marshall. 🙏🦋🌹
Just lost my mother this past August and I have grieved constantly since then. Grief does come on in waves while I am working out, or working, or at any time it will sneak up on me and sieze me and my eyes fill with tears as I remember the vivid images of her final days. Mom was such a fighter! Watching these videos has comforted me as they are an homage to people we love and respect, done with grace, reverence and kindness. Penny and Gary are buried in a beautiful place so similar aesthetically to where my mother is buried in Alabama. Deer and even a loping wolf have been seen darting about my mother's resting place. Thank you Scott for helping me expiate and process my grief and loss. I appreciate your work and I have liked and subscribed to it. Thank you!
I remember Laverne and Shirley rest in peace my friend you're not suffering anymore and your family will miss you forever you're always in my heart and everybody else's hearts😲😪😇. You have a great night or a great day and happy New Year and all the best.✌👍
Penny Marshal directed so many amazing films. She left behind a beautiful legacy for my own kids to enjoy. She had a beautiful home in the Hollywood hills. Rip Penny.
This is a beautiful comment, Thank you! Your kids will love her movies ❤🙏🏼🥲
Grew up watching Happy Days and Lavern and Shirley. Those truly were the happy days. Loved the video as always. Hope your Christmas was terrific. 10:39
What a talented lady xx
Absolutely loved her. From Laverne and Shirley to a wonderful director of some great films. Thank you for this. Hope your holidays were awesome ❣️😊🎄
The first tv show that I remember seeing Penny on was The Odd Couple with Tony Randal and Jack Klugman. She played Jack's secretary. Scott you always show respect in your videos, but to me in this one at the end it seems like you were about to tear up which is ok when someone you love has passed away.
Yes I really loved Penny Marshall and her show reminds me of watching tv with my parents
Loved watching reruns of the show as a child, and what a career she had. ❤️
Me and my mom loves Laverne and Shirley, rip Penny Marshall 🙏🕊
You do great work!
I Was 9 In 1976 And Fell In Love With Penny And Cindy As Laverne & Shirley Never Missed A Show When She Passed Away It Was Like I Lost My Family It Truly Hurt And It Still Dones Penny You And Cindy Made Me And The World Laugh When Time's Was Tough Or Wasn't Tough And I Love You Both For That ❤️💔
Thank you, Scott. A lovely tribute ❤️
I miss penny but it was funny how you had to mention that Bob Barkley was still alive I remember that one live stream everybody was telling you he died well on his behalf just remember to get your pet spayed and neutered.
Loved it Scott. Any director would have loved the success with just one of those films. I remember being a teenager and just loving A league of their own. Xoxox 💕🙏🇦🇺😘 God if only I’d mentioned the word “Love” 🙄
Beautiful view
Thank you for this lovely tribute to two of my favorites! Penny & Garry. 🥰

I'm always awestruck when I see famous people's gravestones. Cause there's someone resting in that spot that brought joy and laughter to an endless number of people. Rest In Peace Penny
Excellent job, Scott😻. Hard to believe this incredible brother/sister duo is no more.
Idea for a video for you to do: Betty Davis. I used to Trick or Treat at her house on Crooked Mile Road here in Westport, CT. She is at Forest Lawn now.
Another actress I used to know a little bit: Eva Le Gallienne. No grave, just scattered at her Weston CT property (where one of my childhood girlfriends' mother's used to work, living there too, in a little guest cottage at the end of the driveway.
One more good one for you: Dan Hartman, an awesome musician with a coup;e of big hits who used to live on the big hill on Ford Road here in town. He was creamated, not sure about a potential gravesite.
One more great one, for a day or two before next Christmas, a guy who lived in my town for awhile and is now buried at Woodlawn: Johnny Marks, the songwriter who basically owns Christmas (he wrote Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer, Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree, Holly Jolly Christmas, and others. While you're out here on the east coast, I will show you the local sites (a couple of good bars) and Willowbrook Cemetary, where both my parent's are.
Loved her!!! My Fave always A League of Their Own!!!
OMG... I love the "sit on it' from Happy Days bench and the "L" for Laverne on her grave! She made me laugh so much with Laverne and Shirley. So cool that the two siblings are next to each other in death. I know they were close.
Penny and Garry were so talented. Thank you for this video. I hope you had a Happy Hanukkah.
Cool. Thank you!
I've always thought that if people who visit and video in cemeteries carried a little whish brush with them and always used it on the memorials, what greater sign of respect could there be.
I met her in 1998 working at Kmart , they were filming a commercial, she says “ wow your a little one “ 😂 im 4 11” . I was so embarrassed but happy at the same time . She was a sweetheart ❤
Thank you Olivia, This warms my heart haha! Great memories you have! ❤
Penny Marshall I just thought she was one of the greatest very funny especially in Laverne n Shirley;they were great together!!Let them both rest in peace❤❤
