Wow, I have to totally agree with your fabric switch on the sampler. It really shows when you show them side by side, it is going to be a beautiful sampler. I will probably have to add more comments later, I'm at work and have to finish watching after I get home!😄

I'm really liking The Banquet. I recently bought q-snaps and have been having a hard time loading my fabric on it. There were some helpful tips here. Thanks.

I only use the Arabeska scroll rods and love them. I get them from Amazon in the US. Don’t know if they are available from Amazon in Canada.

Hi Judy, I totally understand about not wanting to double the cost of a chart due to shipping! There a few things (usually charms or some such) that are created/manufactured internationally and not in the US that I have decided are not worth the shipping and will have to look for something similar in the US. And I definitely don’t take for granted that there are so many options in the US. Thank you, as always for a wonderful video!

I’ve missed your last couple videos I think because I’m struggling to keep current on watching Flosstube. I hadn’t realized you restarted Sampler of Stitches! 😲 It looks great both ways from where I’m sitting. I’m glad you’re happier with the results now. 😍 If I were you, I’d rip out the old “D” that you stitched and just fully finish the ABC section. That could easily be a stand alone piece since those first three letters together is kind of a thing. Then you’d be done stitching on it and wouldn’t have to source a new dragonfly charm. Just an idea! Happy stitching!

Yes - I had to restart it. Just wasnt' feeling it. I like the restart better and enjoying a SAL!!! Happy stitching!

Hello from northern Spain. Talking on side tensioners or side strechers and my omanik frames I have discovered that the best for me is working with a shorter (10 cm) side bar. I have bought side strechers from a russian etsy shop and I'm also happy with them when my side bars are higher than 15cm. The magnets from Amazon didn't work for me because I have not found strongers enough. It's a real pity all that it's happening with ukrainian and russian people. Such a pity when only some days ago we were a fantastic worlwide stitching community. Let's hope this war finishes asap

    Hi Judy,
Hope this message finds you well.
So I just spotted you and enjoyed watching and processing your ideas.
I’ve been stitching for over 30 years myself but love to here others and their thoughts.
There is one thing I keep racking my brain about.
I have the “newer” scrolls with the snap on made with the pvc pipe material.
It’s fine,”I do like my material right” but when my project is done, and I remove it from the scroll, there are looooong dirt lines where the rods were.
No matter how much I clean it, it is still noticeable.
Is there a material I can put on the rod so not to get the Crease or the stain.
I will be liking and subscribing.
    Thank you in advance
    Tom 🙂

Really love your videos, and your projects are beautiful! Do you have any tips for beading with a scroll frame? As in, how to protect the beads on the top from being crushed when beading on the bottom? Do you roll it using pieces of felt? Thank you!

    • @citystitcher
      @citystitcher  Před 2 lety +1

I use quilt batting to protect them, don't roll the scroll rods as tight (giving up tension to save the beads) and attach larger beads / cubes / bicones / treasures by hand once it has come off of the scroll rod. Let me know if you want to know more. Thanks for watching!

you spent almost 9 minutes yammering on about a political war overseas. You also spent and wasted time talking about the sunshine. Your presentation is haphazard at best and your thoughts are disjointed and lack any clear or decisive direction. I got pissed off after trying to watch you do your presentation 9 minutes and 21 seconds into the video.
Stop wasting time talking about your personal life and problems and stop talking politics and war. Talk about what your viewers wants to see. We see enough of that political garbage and yakking about war on television as it is. The television broadcast companies have supersaturated the airwaves with more than enough political garbage without you adding to it. I did NOT finish watching your video and won't be back.
