Is it just me or this helicopter still is the best looking flying object one can possibly lay their eyes on? Can’t believe we are in 2021 and still haven’t topped this.

Not only on the aesthetics front, but TV entertainment hasn't gotten any better in general since then also.
I'm 40, it played in Pakistan when I was 8. It's still my favourite TV series.
Just sad that Jan Michael-Vincent passed away. RIP. At the same time, I'm happy that he went to a better place

Airwolf. The story of how one of he most heroic pieces of music ever written turned a commercial helicopter and a moderately well written script into an immortal classic.
i want to like this comment but I cant ruin such a nice number.
Well, you do have to admit that Andrew Probert's mods to the Bell 222 converted it from a reasonably attractive, but mundane, commercial helicopter, into something that still looks like a legit piece of sinister military tech.

actually what made the story a hit was that every young boy wanted to be the pilot of a helicopter so powerful that when you got into the cockpit all your troubles would seem minuscule

The Airwolf theme still outclasses many tv series themes of today. It was made with simplicity and the tune is now immortalized, way ahead of its time. And even today, it's the most beautiful air vehicle ever designed. I don't see any modern helicopters that are as sexy and elegant as Airwolf. I am so fortunate to have had the 80s as my childhood to enjoy these treasures of television. Thanks for the awesome remix and it never gets old. I could listen to this all day and never get bored. Literally.

Yes. I agree with all said here. I was in my 20's in the 80's. Airwolf and other TV shows were great. How I wish I could go back in time to the 80's. I would never come back.

I was in middle-school when Airwolf first aired. I fell in love with the show, and even more so the music. I had one of those portable tape player/recorders next to my bed with this song recorded and cued up so I could listen to it first thing in the morning. Yeah, I was a weird kid... Fun memorable times. RIP Jan-Michael Vincent.

It was an epic show along with Miami Vice. I was in school too when this was aired and I loved it!
I suffer with really bad depression but when I listen to this and the knight rider one it really helps me thank you much respect

I've recently downloaded all the knight rider, A-team and soon will do air wolf shows and honestly it is like therapy and a pleasant break from today's reality. The 80's were forward thinking and optimistic about the future yet enough innocence and charm that just cheers you up to relive it all over again.

Dam 80's TV was good! Was there but took it all for granted. Didn’t think that era would ever end, instead believing it would just get better.

I loved 'Knight Rider', but honestly the fight scenes in 'Airwolf' were better, both in the air and on the ground, and Jan-Michael Vincent was simply a better actor than The Hoff. It's too bad that he became the poster child for how alcohol can destroy your career. Rest in peace.
I always thought Airwolf's relationship to Knight Rider was more like: "That's cute kid, now hold my beer."

I loved this show in the 80's. It had a cool name, awesome looks, catchy tune and packed with state of the art technology. The Airwolf still looks futuristic in 2022.
It's a shame it crashed after it was sold.

Ya, it's such a shame... Jan made the show such a part of his identity instead of looking at it as an acting gig, that when they replaced him and whatever other issues, he turned to Alcohol and literally destroyed himself.

A schoolmate had one of those early arcade flight simulators with a joystick. He sat in front of me and I had a Commodore keyboard on my lap and an old tv screen to my right. When his Dad came home from work and saw us...he went back to his garage and gave us some motorcycle helmets to make it more realistic...what a proof of love...!

Just nostalgia. Such a great show. I watched it religiously on Thursday at 20:00, in Holland.
Airwolf, knightrider and Streethawk. 3 different 80s shows about super vehicles that are so campy but still so fun today.

This programme was huge worldwide because the helicopter was so unique because it was so fast like a jet plane . brilliant casting and acting

Airwolf, Knight Rider and The A-Team were my top 3 tv series growing up in the 80s. When the DVD boxsets came out I of course had to get them.

Now that i am mid-aged i realize how well made this series were. It's not only a very catchy theme and a super war machine; the midair shoots are incredible, and the pilot is a true ace.

RIP Ernest Borgnine and Jan-Micheal Vincent and the Helicopter herself and the Pilots who were flying a medical emergency with a Patient on board. When TV was gold.
It was fitting that this helicopter became a true life hero after the show . And it was sad to hear of its fate .
The patient was not on board when it crashed. They were returning from a patient delivery when they hit a hill in low visibility.
That Bell 222 looks still so awesome... the music is a masterpiece. Greetings from Germany

That very first open sequence of the first episode with iguana lizard falling off the wheel as Airwolf takes off for fist time. Such a cinematic shot for a 80s show, got cheesy later, but that first episode hooked me as a teenager. So amazing for the time. Seeing Clint Eastwood in movie "Firefox" on TV a few weeks before helped put me in the mindset for airwolf as well.
"Firefox" is almost unknown these days. Amazing film that captures a lot of the 80s.

As a boy about 5-9 years old, I remember being JUST as thrilled by hearing the exciting music, engine, music and sounds and seeing scenes like this half a century ago, not knowing anything different or what's coming, with Chuck and PT, the WHIRLEYBIRDS with a, now beloved classic Bell-47, that looked to me then like this almost miraculous state of technology NOW! Both aircraft just made your jaw hit the ground in awe when FIRST seeing what they do as a matter of course. Here as well with Airwolf. Isn't progress just magnificent to see AND just a matter of perspective?

I live close to my towns hospital, and any time I get to hear or see the Air Ambulance starting up and taking off, THIS tune is rocking along to it in my head. Makes the Air Ambulance launch _SO_ much more epic!!! 😁
