Hey Brandon, about the religious part, I think you’d like what Islam has to say. We are encouraged to make more money so we can do everything you said in this video, be healthier, better family, not worry about the hardships, to be more thankful and more charitable. In fact, our beloved prophet peace be upon him, was one of the best business men around. God’s messenger was a real G who knew how to make money
I agree with the message but I think it’s also important to adress that many of these things are preventable on a systemic level (ie medical bankruptcy etc. I think it’s important to tackle this from not only an individualistic approach but also a systemic one.
As soon as you mentioned how your son could potentially skip a grade I hit like. I love that. I want that. I want my kid to be better than all the other kids. I want to do a better job as a parent. I'd love to hear more things you have to say about parenting. Brandon you distill ideas down to the basics so well and make the application easy.
This morning I watched a video about not complaining. I have been ill, tired, stuck in traffic had technology die on me , generally a super sucky day. Did I complain? ...yes yes I did but way less than I would have if I didn't watch your video this morning.

i agree with everything he said except one point:
rich children are not happier or more fulfilled. because they have everything they want already.
so they have no motivation or higher sense of propose to achieve anything..
if i'm not mistaken rich teenager are way more likely to be on anti depressants, and are way more likely to kill themselves than poor kids.
the best example of that is actually john from bulldog mindset, he had a goal to be a millionaire and retire at 30 and play video games for the rest of his life.. he did it, and it made him lose all sense of propose and made him depressed because he didn't have a reason to wake up in the morning anymore..
long story short money is not the key to happiness, money helps make some problems go away but it brings other problems you need to be financially stable, but anything more than that isn't gonna make you necessarily happier.

Another 2 cents I hear when people complain about money being the most important - "oh, but that's only because of capitalism and because of all the bad players making people work hard for basic stuff etc." capitalism is not perfect, far from it. But it's the system that we currently all live in. That's the reality. You can't wish it away. And as far is we know, it's the best system we were able to figure out. Maybe there's something better, maybe that's the best we can think of. But in the mean time - it's here and you can either play the game, earn money, provide for yourself and you family OR you can bitch about it and NOT provide for yourself, family etc.
