I live in Metairie Louisiana and am so happy your coming here. Your a amazing pastor. I like how genuine and real u are. There's a lot of churches I've walked away from because I just can't feel Jesus there like I do around me when I pray or talk to Him. I'm severely anemic so for right now I've chosen to worship at home and watch things like this. I'm on bedrest for two days more I'd really appreciate any prayers to help me. My anemia is pretty bad and I'm missing work. I have to have a shot 💉 twice a week and 200 mg of iron and blood builders a day.
The devil is just sitting back laughing at these people. They make it so easy for him. I can't believe what he said about Lazarus 😂😂 It's not ok or right to twist scripture like this just to make yourself feel better. My aunt is a liberal and is gay. I wish I could show her this. She's told me so many times that God has made her this way so it's ok and will quote the bible at me. No just no

Just want to point out as well (as I'm sure others may have) that Brandan says that Lazarus was "left for dead" implying that he doesnt think he was actually dead, which means he doesn't even think Jesus performed a miracle. It wouldn't surprise me one bit if he denies the bodily ressurection, virgin birth, etc.

I think in Brandon Robertson’s case, he sees himself as an activist, who wants to bring the modern concept of “equity” to the church. He sees Jesus as a liberator; on the side of equity. It’s liberation theology reaching its apex: the supposed submission of God to the base desires of man. It’s an extreme idolatry.

Engaging them tells us their “important” enough to spend time on. Jesus only engaged the main leaders of the day, he didn’t spend time on all of the many various sects like the Zealots or Essenes. I would say that someone like a Tim Keller or a J.D. Romans 16:17-19 supports my position as it must be understood in light of the prologue in chapter 1. Brandon is already outside the church. He is not causing divisions within the church. Let him be dead in his sins, (Romans 1:26). Just ignore him.

I even promised to God that I would stop pornography if he can held a family member (whichhe did), and after a couple of months, I went back; and now I am ashamed and I repent again.
I feel I'm trapped. I pray to God for help and forgiveness.
When I repent from pornography, the urge is not there, and I feel that it is not me, but God who did this; I don't feel that I am doing anything because it is the power of God; but then a few months later the urge is so strong that I fall into it. When I sin, I don't know why I sin. I get angry. I feel hopeless. I feel defeated. I get doubts, but at the same time I feel in peace.
    please advise.

Do a thorough study of the book of Romans. Understand your miserable state as a condemned sinner. You’re only hope is the righteousness of Christ, which God offers to you as a free gift of grace by faith. You are justified before God not by your failed efforts to please God, but by the gift of Christ’s perfect righteousness, which you cannot despoil by your failures - take hold of Jesus’ righteousness, and ask God to find you the desire to love His righteousness; at the same time, God invites you to die to self with Christ on the cross, ie, crucify the flesh.

I'd add to what others have said here by stating God needs nothing from you. Promising God you will do this if He does that is treating God like a genie that grants wishes provided you pull the right levers, or say the magical incantation, or perform some ritual perfectly. Bargaining with God isn't the way to go, and God didn't heal your loved one because of some promise you made. God delights in providing His children good things. But does your desire align with God's perfect will? God's perfect work was completed by Christ. Nothing you can do will add or take away from it. It is only by the imputed righteousness of Jesus that you or I will escape justice for the lives we have lived. It sounds like you have true remorse and sorrow for the evil you have done before God's sight. Are you taking every necessary step to avoid repeating the same pitfalls? Is pride, ego, embarrassment preventing you from enlisting your local church family's help or accountability. Are you being actively discipled by a Christian further along their walk with Christ? We are not perfect, never will be. Luckily the one man that was able was sufficient for us all. Delight in God's company. The Bible is clear...God will provide us an escape when we are tempted with sin. Delight in God's company and take everything to Him. Have faith that He is sufficient.

I used to be a progressive Christian just like Brandon, and have come a long way. Having come to terms with the fact that my modern worldview was irreconcilable with Scripture and the teachings of Christ, I have rejected homosexuality and have entered the Eastern Orthodox Faith. I know exactly where Brandon is coming from, and it may be difficult for heterosexual people to understand. It is not easy to deny such a central aspect of our personhood, and if one's identity becomes so enmeshed in their sexual desires it becomes less and less likely that one will come to a place in their heart where they can see clearly and seek true repentance. But one must decide ultimately what they want - the Life that Christ has to offer, or the rewards and pleasures of this world. We cannot serve two masters. Brandon wants to have his cake and eat it too. Pray for him that he desires God with a pure heart so he may humble himself and renounce his false preaching.

So glad to hear that you’ve repented! The problem of sexual sin(of any kind) is that it’s so easy for us to justify in the moment. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve said to myself “this is my last time watching this” or something of that nature. Now another big difference between sexual sin and any other sin is that it’s just so pleasurable. Few people get pleasure out of lying, stealing, using God’s name in vain, etc. Something I actually kind of like about Brandon is that he’s bold enough to admit his sin. On the other hand, he’s a total wolf and tries to justify such sin. I feel bad because sexual sin, whether heterosexual or homosexual, is something we all try to justify while we’re living in it, and deep down we know we’re lying to ourselves. Once again, glory to God that you have repented of that sin! Be blessed in whatever God brings you through!

Now I’m saying if you were to use that to make that point your wrong because we can look at other examples where we see ourselves dead in our sins or separation from Christ, but the primary focus of that specific passage should be the sovereignty and authority of Christ.

I'm only up to about 18 minutes. Wow! I thought I'd heard every possible twisting/misuse of Scripture by the Alphabets in order to justify their sin. This one was new to me. It's not even creative. You don't really have to do a deep Bible study or go back to the original languages because it makes no sense even on a normal reading comprehension level. Even if you don't believe or follow the Bible, how can you get that interpretation from reading that account? It's obvious from the context that it's talking about a dead man named Lazarus who was raised back to life by Jesus and physically walked, "came out" of the tomb. That's grade school reading comprehension. Even if I believed the Bible supported this behavior, I would not use this passage to support it.

    • @TGuard00014

The problem is there are a lot of people who think nothing in the Bible can be taken at grade school level of comprehension. Everything is symbolic and points to something in your life. The fact that the Bible is overwhelmingly not about you and instead is about God and His sovereignty and character is lost on a lot of people. Of course part of that is because they don’t like the plain reading of the text in other places.
