Akshat jain sir was sdm of my city and let me tell you he was excellent , he has done so much in a little time , he built a library as it was a major problem for students here .. he regularly came to visit the library and talk to us about problems that we are facing .. I had a chance to thank him and ask him about the upsc preparation and he was so humble and down to earth .. I also went to sdm office with an application for Street dogs as they were dying due to accidents and diseases .. he addressed the problem .. he was not that kind of officer that you can't reach to .. he was approachable and was always ready to address the problems .. he is really a good civil servent .. sometimes back he was transferred and all the students were heartbroken bcz we didn't know who will come as our new sdm and whether he would be like that .. we wanted to bid him a farewell but obviously he has no time .. but definitely he is meant to be a civil servant ❤
I know some people who served election duty and Akshat met them beforehand to give a perfunctory lecture and they mentioned how terrible the facilities were. Again, not blaming Akshat, but in general election officers do not get good facilities where they have to serve duties.

If Pakistan had a system like ours for selecting top civil servants, they’d be a better country. It’s because of our bureaucracy that our country works.

80 percent of Civil Servants are there only because of job security and extra benefits . I can't even count how many times , on news, I have seen IAS officers misusing their power . And their would countless others which aren't recorded .
They have 0 fear as they can never be terminated .

3:30 I agree with you on this, haven't given UPSC interviews but I have given interviews of other Govt exams, there is no need to look at everyone in every single question. But make sure to address everyone at the beginning and at the end, even though the ending verbal address doesnt need to be verbal.

It's not about good answers it's about right answers.
Actually the effect of hail storm on crops was not a unanswerable question. In Rabi season wheat is in the growth phase and the crop's stem and leaves are still pretty delicate, a hail storm will basically destroy the crop (mechanical damage) and the yield during harvest season will be affected.
