TBH, the "hype" has been building since the launch of the x100 and with each version it's been getting better. I wish Fuji upgraded the lens to match the resolution, battery for longer life, and fully weather sealed it. Over 80% of the people buying this camera, will be selling it with in the next year because they paid too much for a "point and shoot" and its sits on the shelf.
if you have the money and you really want it, go get it. simple as that. i view this as something that you will not get any eyeballs all over you compared when you have dslr with medium or large lenses, but depends on where you live. here in my country this unit is a ghost, not hyped at all. then i didn't feel like thieves are up to me. it's also the first time that no officer come at me and ask me what i'm shooting for days of using this. its really easy to bring and put out lol. really really had fun using it. but if you have the x100v already i recommend that there's no need to upgrade but again, if you have the money and you really want it, go :)
that camera is so dope.. love the look and compactness. i've been reaching for my film camera over my mirrorless these days but I feel like the x100v/vi would top both for me. glad to see you're enjoying it!

I only have a budget for one camera, im torn between xt5 or x100vi, I'm always trekking and hiking, sometimes travelling seas and staying in an island, which will you recommend? Thanks

Do you have any screen issues with the 6? A lot of people saying it doesn’t quite fit right and there is a clicking sound when lightly pressed in the top corner of the screen

SOLID video man! If I did more traveling I’d definitely consider looking at one of these or even simply picking up the 100V. Love the compact size and the silver is DOPE.

People are lying to themselves thinking the V is any comparison to the VI for a fixed lens camera. The VI is so much more versatile with cropping, low light shooting, and video.
The V should only be bought at half the price of the VI. it's such a huge difference.

Would you recommend the 1/2 or the 1/4 pro mist filter? I see there is two options
I believe there is a 1/4th and a half. I use the 1/4th
Preordered mine on a well known camera site and on release day was told it was back ordered until June. My local camera shops sold out and there’s dozens of local resellers asking $2500 for it. I’ve really just lost hope at this point of ever getting one at retail any time soon.

i just recently sold my x100v 3 months ago. the vi is tempting but since fuji announced they are bringing the new recipes to some older cameras I am going to go against the grain and get a xs20. Lucky i can shop on base and they have a deal with the xs20, the kit lens, a filter for $1,100. I just look forward to the firmware update.

I’ve heard people say that, but never heard anyone experience it themselves lol
You should check out the Ricoh GR III or IIIX. I’ve tried several times to get the Fuji but no luck, but the Ricoh is nice as well.

When you say you can transfer photos from the camera to your phone - have you actually managed to do that? The wifi / bluetooth sucks on both the V and V1

@@JHawkwow, I tried everything but nothing. I've seen other youtubers say the wifi / bluetooth is a pain. Maybe you should do a vid showing how you pull it off.
A few people recommend a usb c cable as it’s much faster for transferring.
@@andrewcrossley2448 yep, I should try that. I was expecting to be able to blue tooth control the camera as with other cameras….which has occasionally been useful…….but not possible with the x100v or v1.

I got mine. I don't think it's overhyped or overpriced. The closest thing Sony has to it is the RXRII which is 3,000 bucks which is bulky, it has no ND filter, doesn't shoot 4k. Canon has the G7X mark 3 which has 4k for only 10 minutes, terrible battery life, Only 20megapixels, No 4k 60. Then there's Panasonic's Lumix DC-ZS200D, which has slightly better specs than the Canon.

As you place your order for this camera, I urge to think and try to remember… where are those Cabbage Patch Kids dolls that you rushed into the now defunct ToyR’Us to buy? Where are they? Are they collectibles? Have you played with them? Do you still like them? Or do you find them silly? Now think… do you have $1600 to spare? Do you really need this camera? A point and shoot, with fixed lens? Yeah, it’s got simulations. But so does the X-T1. Do you have this much disposable cash?
