For context, all those fights happened after his team began publicly citing weight cuts being an issue for them. When weight cuts get bad enough, a fighter's reaction time and mental sharpness in the ring can be negatively affected. If that's the reason for some of his defensive issues at 135, then he could be fine if he clears out 140 soon enough.

Yea that definitely is odd. He's had two solid bounce back wins since the Two "loss" but neither against a WBC rated opponent. And when you come through his career Martin has never competed for WBC Gold or International titles. So it's extremely odd. I would guess that his team Petitioned or requested that the WBC rate him, which is something done by a lot of Management teams, they fork a little dough over to the sanctioning body and all of a sudden their fighter is top 15.
