How is the Mten3 on the worse roads in NYC? I'm looking to add an EUC to the stable to get inside places that my Dualtron cannot. This one looks ideal for portability.

So effortless. Ignore the haters. When I owned a Segway i2 ($6K at the time), I got yelled at by bicyclists. I get it because that was huge. But the EUCs, especially the ones you were on here have a smaller footprint than bikes, and you were riding responsibly.

Haha ... gues ur right. Once everyone has a light on, to stand out (& warn others), you need a blinking one. :) Its really nice that MTen3 seem to allow you to adjust the light on-the-fly.

What kind of comfortable cruising speed you can ride on the west side highway bike path with the mten3? I commute with a ninebot es1 but looking for a more portable option at similiar speeds or faster. The es1 max speed is 13mph.

Does the MTen3 have different headlight settings/options (steady, flashing, etc.)?

It does but I don't know the nuances of controlling them, I'm only just learning my Mten3.

kmg501 Quick Question. Do the MTen3’s make a grinding, clicking, grunting sound when you get on to move forward or backward? I just got one and haven’t even ridden it yet, but it sounds like it’s dying. I think the motor is defective. Please advise when you can. Thank you.

@@flhandster4395 There is a small amount of motor noise but I don't hear anything in mine that causes me concern. Since I got mine I have not charged it yet and probably won't charge it until it is down to about 30-35%. The reason I mention this is that I'm wondering if you charged it up to 100%. I don't believe it is advisable to charge to 100% for contemporary battery technology.

kmg501 Mine was at 20% out of the box. I did charge it, but this noise is really alarming. Sounds like a deep grunting sound. It sounds like something’s loose chewing up inside the motor. It’s not a subtle motor operating noise or a slight whine. It’s really noticeable.
