- Part of my looping series. In this video I explain how to choose the best songs to loop. What I look for in a song that makes it perfect for looping.
I play some examples of my favourite songs to loop and give you my approach to finding the right songs to add to your set list and also give you some things to think about when it comes to adding playing them live.
The looper I use is a Boss RC30 Loop station.

Thank you for putting this out there! The tips and insights are really helpful✨ Love the mood and humor of the video!
Nice addition to the series. Keep looper videos coming 👍🏻
Great tips, my friend. Thank you!
Thanks for your insights.
I'm moving straight to Wales! J/K great video
Thanks Scott for the tips and advice, I'm just getting into looping and experimenting but all sounds the same eventually!
I've noticed a lot of the songs that I like have a similar rhythm or chord sequence. Try doing something completely different and outside of your comfort zone and sometimes Less is more. Feel free to send me a video on instagram or facebook if you're struggling with anything in particular and I'll see if I can help
@@ScottGuitarist really appreciate the offer and will likely take you up on it! Keep up the amazing work and advice
Just found your channel. I'm just about to get my PA system. I've discovered the looper function on my HX Stomp (and that you can separate the play/rec, stop and undo functions onto different buttons. Great!). Anyway, I started looping a couple of songs and I'm having a fine old time of it.
My question is this: Do you loop on every song, or do you mix it up. I have a massive repertoire. Way more than I need to start playing - which is great. However, I'd mainly like to loop on songs with a solo part, but some songs I'd actually not like to loop at all. Would you recommend against that or..?
I think it's better to mix it up. It gets boring if every song starts the same way
What’s the name of the background/intro song?
It's one of my own songs, Walk. You can find it here along with some other original material I've written for different projects - soundcloud.com/scott-morgan-953217294
