- Apex Legends is off to an amazing start but it shares some core issues that greatly affected other Battle Royale games. Hopefully the developers are on it and we get some improvements in a timely manor.

this is the only BR game that I really liked. Hopefully Respawn support the game more, because it has potential.

Toxin Skullz hahaha about what!? The cool character designs are all girls, everybody’s cheating on pc, the gunfire has weird audio, its a battle royal so theres luck involved. Its a decent game. I give it a 6/10

Top 5 Apex issues from my experience:
1.Crashing ingame
2.Squad m8ts crashing
3.Crashing in menu
4.Trying 100 different fixes for crashing
5.Crashing some more
I had maybe 2 or 3 crashes out of 200 games. Its your potato pc
@@GeneralNukes Yes my potato PC which gets like 90+ fps on high settings.
Also I read about all those potato PC guys on the forums runing rtx2080 crashing even more than I do.
But hey,thx for your expert feedback,it's helpfull.
With a Rtx you need to install previous drivers in orders to stop the crashes, since i did that i never crash once and still running at 144 fps constantly at High setting.

I have a few of my own.
1.Bloodhounds ult: It is terrible mid fight on console maybe on Pro/1x it's better but having you frames drop to 15 cause you get hit with your teammates smoke ain't fun
2. Once you get level 100 you don't get any apex packs this just isn't gonna work especially if you add more weapons and legends with more skins, it's already enough to slow the flow of packs at twenty and 50. If I don't at the very least get crafting items when I level up or just after every game for performance or a pack for a win just anything so I don't fell my hand is forced to gamble. I would love to support respawn by spending some cash on items in shop with excess to apex packs. The problem is there is no sense of progress in leveling up sure the badge looks cool but my characters don't.
Imagine a drug that gets you high 7% of the time with a guaranteed high on the thirtieth and than your dealer rations it to you like food stamps. Later on he slows down like "next week man" "come back next month" than finally stops and says you gotta pay now. All I'd say is start dealing heroine cause I ain't paying the shit that gets me high part of the time.
Biggest issues: Server Lag/sync, Crashes, Wingman balance.
The 2 types of crashes are:
1.out of sync with server
2.0x0000... memory cannot be written
out of sync seems something to do with having streaming services in your network that is throttling bandwidth. Still testing various options.
Getting a memory upgrade to see if it helps with this error. I like this game, but I don't have these crashes on any other game.

Hitbox rework for sure, I don't need Wingman and Peacekeeper killing me even faster
I feel like there's an audio issue with footsteps. I have a great audio setup and I can pinpoint footsteps from very far away. However, up close is very hit or miss. I've had squads roll up on me and I haven't heard a peep. It seems very inconsistent.
Also the netcode and hackers will be the death of this game if they're not careful. The game is in a 5/10 state right now with the potential to be an 8 or 9.
Completely agree. I’ll hear dudes in buildings from 60 ft away but for some reason can’t hear a dude flanking behind me 10 ft away.
People (like myself) crouch up on people when I initially hear their footsteps and sneak up on them

G Hammer I would say 6.5 or 7. I want respawn to make titanfall 3, cuz titanfall 2 was my favorite FPS of all time.
I cant be the only person who notices damage inconsistencies. For ex: i will unload an entire clip into someone who is wearing a common shield (and still not down them), just to be killed by that person in less than a second while Im wearing legendary armor

The biggest issue is sensitivity.
Assault rifle and pistol/shotgun sensitivity is different.
all great points and definitely the main things that need to be addressed in the game. The net code is more than likely not an easy or fast fix so like you said we probably won’t see many changes on that anytime soon.
As for the optimization I think as a whole it’s abysmal for a lot of people. I can’t stream the game at all, even at 720p30fps on a ryzen 5 2600 gtx 1060 6gb, and 16gb ddr4 without massive input lag like you mentioned. Playable frame rate for sure (90+), but the input lag is totally unplayable alone. I can stream pretty much any other game (even Anthem lol), without minimal to no issues at all.
For the hitbox issue I think increasing health for the bigger characters is a great idea considering none of them are all that good anyways. Not only is lifeline, wraith, and bloodhound perhaps arguably better than Gibraltar, caustic, and pathfinder, it also doesn’t help that they happen to be some of the smallest hitbox characters in the game. I’m saying this assuming they don’t start tweaking any of them in the future. But for pathfinder I’d like to see his ability range increased or cooldown decreased, Gibraltar maybe have his arm shield have more health, and caustics gas should only affect teammates vision, I don’t think it should stun them either. Again, I’m saying this assuming they don’t mess with hitboxes or anything else.
Overall though yeah it’s a great game and pretty balanced/flushed out from the get go which is a nice surprise. I kind of just ignore the cheating aspect personally since EAC is absolutely bonkers when implemented right, but unfortunately they aren’t quite there yet. It especially needs to be addressed if this game ever wants to go the esport route.
I really wouldn't want health to be changed. One of the key characteristics of Apex is it's simplicity and this would just complicate things.
I think they just need to fix the hitboxes and the weapon damages need to be looked at in some areas. Gibraltar's passive also needs some kind of work done to it.
Also for Gibraltar they need to replace his dome sheild with an A-Wall

Go to origin, library, right click and click on repair game. If that doesn’t help then reinstall the game.

Segregate the cheaters that's the best option. Titanfall did it, GTA did it too.

Using the server status trackers, I've noticed so many servers being utter garbage as well.
If you, for example, get connected to any of Frankfurt's servers, you may as well drop any controller you're using, because you'll either have like 150+ lag or packet loss so high you'll see a still image.
I personally once ended up in a game, where my character managed to take one step before the game would seemingly freeze for 10 seconds after which I'd find myself teleported the distance I'd cover moving at the speed I did when the freeze occurred.
Literally and unironically unplayable.

I agree with you on all the issues X. The bad netcode, the inability to customize ADS sens for each scope (Blackout has better customization of sens), the lack of hold to sprint, ADAD spam, weapon balance, I can look past all of these issues as this is a new game. But the hitbox discrepancy is the deal breaker for me. I cannot play a game where I do not feel better/worse winning or losing a gunfight because of this. I am not re-installing this game until they fix the hitbox issue.
im really thinking of doing the same thing dude! I main Gibraltor and its stupid how easy it is to shoot him and his passive is shit. Kinda getting sick of this game. Respawn has ALOT of work to do. Fortnite killer my ass. I hate fortnite but this game has ALOT to do so it can compete.

X, i love your content, man. Miss the BF days, but until those devs fix the current formula I hope APEX and any future non BF titles bring you success. took me half an hour to get into my first ever game today. kept telling me the server wasn't responding. Then I got a combo of lag spikes and having my aim sense not adjusted properly for my newer DPI setting. Died very quickly and then had server issues again. So i'm calling it quits for now until it's more optimized.

Imo. Lower health like in Quake Champions would make most sense. That would make the TTK more similar between the champions at most levels, but increase the skillceling overall since it favors better aim.
For me it's so annoying I hit like 100-120 in match, and when I die it shows I made 40-50 damage, I can clearly see headshots making 60-80 but it still shows less damage after match, this happens during in match too, where hit registers, but the damage is not inflicted
I am so glad you mentioned the net code issues, this game is not esports ready at it's current state. The lag is just immense compared to Fortnite (a game I hate).
Apart from the hackers, you forgot to mention the network manipulators who purposely abuse their own ping to get a major advantage in game.
Basically they set their ping to something ridiculous allowing them to shoot people and almost impossible to get shot AT.
Also, hackers are everywhere on Asia, they need to implement the hardware ID bans they way they do with Fortnite.
Whether it be through EA or a third party client, we need the option for a tiered / monetized playlist. For example, players would have the option to decide between $0.11 entry fee servers that generate a pot worth $6 to be split between the winning squad or servers that require a $1.01 entry fee and would generate a $60 pot to be split between the winning squad. (The extra $0.01 from each entry fee goes directly to the service providers / live mods) Battle Royale with real life stakes has the potential to be the next evolution of online poker. It could easily create a career path previously unavailable to many players, and inspire an entire generation of cyber-athletes. Not to mention the fact that nothing could be better for the game's retention than inspiring players to constantly seek improvement on the promise of being able to one day quit their job or supplement their income by doing something they actually enjoy.
my problem is when starting the game it keeps saying there's an update and i need to restart the game. this goes for about 3 times

Thank you Xfactor, almost all the issues I have with this game were brought up and I felt like I was going crazy cause no one seemed to be pointing them out. The connection issue is probably the worst for me, cause it feels like I'm getting one shot as the damage hits all at once.
The classic unload a tonne of damage and then die in the blink of an eye problem. It drives me crazy. I won't be playing the game for much longer if it isn't addressed.
Have you made sure your datacenter is a good one? The issues might be worse if you are connecting to some bad servers for no particular reason.
@@wtfronsson There's another problem: a complete lack of basic ping and connection info.
@@-The-Golden-God- It's hidden in a dumb way, but still easily accessible. At the start loadup screen, wait 60 seconds, then esc esc. Now you see data center list at the bottom. Select the best one.

Just don't spam the spacebar the second your squad gets eliminated like I do =) You'll stay and can spectate

Yesterday I lost my entire shield and half my health before the incoming damage on me registered. It's not always bad, but when it is it's really bad. I had no clue I was being shot until I was nearly dead.
The first 30 seconds of this clip is nothing but pure talent. Spraying that 60 round skillfire, missing half your shots and still killing the whole team. God damn I'm wet.

@xfactorgaming i had issues streaming then found out there are windows settings you can change to make the gpu power through full force. I have a i5 7600k and a 1060 and i can stream it flawlessly after fixing those windows settings. These settings are active on everyone PC automatically after a windows update late in 2018. hope this helps.

i have 4670k 4.2ghz, and vega 56, the game crashes all the time and sometimes it restarts my pc.... QQ
one shadow play on the gaming rig then the streaming rig does all the live streaming, 2 most games that want to push it to the limit Like this game has a VRAM slider. Windows is because there allocation for there OS so you can run basic things and wont use 100 percent unlike Linux when optimized. Also Razor Cortez has helped many users on Pc with these issues. Also as a side note as we get more and more later and the demand Cpu wise for ai becomes more as we expect to get more game out of our experience. Just because the auto profile for the game does not give you the head room you optimize your setup for it. WHAT matters more is the netcode and hitboxes with different size "Operators" because of the packet loss.

The only reason the delay doesn't seem so bad as in PUBG is because of the TTK
I’m not sure is it only me or sometimes I do feel some of my bullets doesn’t registered at all especially using high fire rate gun like the r99 fully unloaded at point blank range, while some player just use the same gun and manage to instantly knock me down while I’m dashing and running at mid range

biggest issue right now for me is damage not counting at all some time closest server for me are in SEA with 130ms + ping

I think you and jack should do a live stream of apex! Aside from that playing on ps4 as my pc can’t hack it at all, would like to see something done about the hit boxes, really like caustic but so noticeable how hard it is to survive with him compared to other smaller characters. Seems to be a relatively persistent issue with server disconnects as well, though it is happening less and less. I’m actually shocked how solid it is otherwise, has completely taken me away from fortnite

I agree with everything you said. If they can fix all these issues in like a month then the game will be in an excellent state. Is the fps fluctuation tied to the tick rate? I get areas of the game where it drops 20 frames or more.
Also mouse and keyboard on console is a massive problem that could get even bigger if it catches on
Neonwhite A. Controllers are amazing for PC right now. I use an Xbox One controller and do work. I do better than my keyboard buddies. Gotta love the sweet Aim Assist 😄
I think Xbox is coming out with native support for Mouse/Keyboard for sure and I see PS4 doing the same thing. I mean why not it's more customers. All these games need is a MMR (Match making rating) and throw console users and PC into the same pool. With MMR it wouldn't matter since you would be playing people your skill level regardless of what input device their using.
Jackfrags too had a video about the hitboxes.... he mentioned the same problems
Imagine how good this game is going to be when or if Respawn gets the issues ironed out. It's really fun, and I normally don't play BR's.

About that recording issue, you can try limiting your fps (I know it is annoying) with MSI Afterburner Sideline Sync(it is worth trying out, much better than vsync) because gsync bugs out the game. Give it a try, You won't have cpu chokes and your recording will not be affected this way.
They need to fix the crashes, some people crash 3 out of 5 games, like im in last 4 teams and i crash with no error at all, or i get the memory could not be read error, atleast put a recconect so you can jump back into the match

This might just be me but that split second freeze that happens when u finish a squad is quite annoying
a lot of people are disconnecting. i had connection problems before and almost disconnected yesterday. on ps4.
all day today i was dropping in with 2 people instead of 3 because of disconnects after the character selection.
I havent had that issue in almost 2 weeks, but it was a huge issue before. Not sure how its still happening to you
Since the last update it seems worse than ever on PC. It's rare that I get to play with a full squad.
its happening more now because there is a bug with the havoc rifle where you lose all your ammo and cant reload, but if you drop the weapon it crashes the server.
Jon Boone i always use the havoc but havent seen that. i was in one building with over 200 energy ammo on the ground, 2 devotions, a havoc, and the energy sniper one time, but my squad was all far away and i got surrounded.
I just got 5 games in a row with no lag and let me tell ya I had some of the most fun I have had a game in a long time. I play in Dallas server I started lagging and I check data center and it had 40% packet loss and now I wont be able to play for the rest of the day but my god that was fun.
I hope they dont add more or less health to anyone just make the abilities tempting, I play pathfinder and caustic quite often and do feel it sometimes but I dont mind dying to wraith every once in while being disadvantaged is fine with me

Disconnection issues should be fixed asap or somehow put a rejoin option
i have messaged them on twitter twice asking if the rejoin is something they are working on or at least considering. Didn't get a response so far. I am sure it will come in time.
The next patch should cover the whole fixed patch with regards to this disconnection shit. This game is so fun yet so frustrating at the same time. Also the hacker issues with the chinese girl advertising their hacks
@@riomagallona6826 i have no doubt in my mind that they will fix it. The issue is that you can only fix the majority of the crashes but not all. Crashes is an unavoidable evil of games since it can be cause by literally anything. Bad gpu drivers, hardware problem, server issues, bad traffic, loss of packets or whatever. .That's why a reconnect is so important. So when those crashes happen you can be like o shit let me quickly restart and get back in the game.
This would pretty much be the best approach to solve the crash problems in tthe game. Well hoping for devs to come up on a way to fix this and finally have some fun. Uninstalling for now since it’s really stressful. Gl to us all
So they'd need a system to insure that someone wasnt getting rekt and disc to prevent dying? Im not sure how a rejoin would work for a BR type game
For sure fix all these things, but I think they also need to get more content out asap for this game.
I love it, but it did sort of launch with a very limited amount of actual Gameplay content.
It's refined and great for a free 2 play but they really need more levels,
new characters, even just day n night cycles or environmental effects like snow and rain could keep it fresh and interesting.
Great games can get boring and repetitive too unless they are mixed up with new things that change and renew the experience somehow.
I'm at level 72, and that's the main gripe for me anyway.
The draw distance is by far the biggest hog for frames.
The only BR I’m actually good at since day one and it CRASHES LIKE CRYSIS ON A DESKTOP btw you’re right I have a GTX 1060 6gb and I automatically knew it wasn’t optimized for Nivida and it’s weird cause how are you not going to optimize a GPU that most gamers have.

Audio bugs need an urgent fix, they are super annoying. Suddenly a team is standing next to you emptying their guns in you before you even HEARD anything around you...and game over.
no wonder i ccan run bo4 max setting ez 60+ fps but in apex in low or medium i was gettin 40- 90 fps which is weird number
i would say its semi optimized and has long way to fully fix the issues! ( GTX 1060 with i7 8750k )

I have an rtx graphics card and it works fine, my game has only crashed once and that was a bug with mirage which they patched so i don't have any problems with the nvidia drivers
Theres also various issues with AMD systems as well, just thought id point out that Nvidia users werent the only ones
I just don’t see a point in characters being balanced if you are forced to be in a squad of three. So what if everyone wants to be wrath or lifeline if every team can have the same characters? Gibraltar has the biggest hit box but has the most damage potential with his ult.
I believe there are HWID bans with the anti-cheat. The problem is that they make it extremely easy to spoof what your HWID is when the game requests for it, so once you get banned, just change what the cheat tells the game.
I run the game with a G4560 Pentium. So basically an i3 on the weaker side. Dual core. And a 1050 Ti X with OC. So basically still worse than a 1060. I get stable 60fps, which I can't get in almost any modern games. So for me this game was incredibly well optimized and light to run. I'm weirded out by people saying it's somehow demanding. Maybe they are trying to run too heavy gfx settings, but then this is their problem, not the game.
R7 1700 + Vega 56 and no crashes so far
Old drivers or new drivers, game still crashes... went all the way back to 417.35 with crashes on every driver version in between... however, I have no issues streaming/recording this game at 1080p60fps with SLOBS... OBS Studio can't do 1080p60fps in any game with the new NVENC update... i7 8700k, 32gb 3000mhz ram, rtx 2080..
thats rtx problem. jackfrags mentioned that in one of his videos.
@@waris6755 its not exclusive to RTX cards. EA support forums are full of reports of people on 10 series cards having the same crash error.
I hope Respawn keeps with the fixes in this game.
I'm going to be buying their season pass thing (i've never bought one from any other game). Partly to support them and let them know we want this game to last.
They need to do some weapon rebalancing. Everyone is running Wingman because it's so common and easily the best gun in the game. The gun only does 10 damage less than a longbow, but can shoot 3x faster and has almost no recoil. Plus add skullpiercer into the mix and the current meta is annoying as hell.

I find it impossible to play because people just tank full LMG mags to the body.
At least they're not denying that they have issues. They just say "We have issues, we know that. We're working on it.". Which is way better than most developers these days.

A health change seems very illogical to me in a game like this, I don't want wraith being weak as shit but I still wanna play her, we also have Bangalore which has a similiar build as Wraith but is basically a special ops, she could take a couple more hits. A hitbox rework would be far better.
If the bigger characters get more hp, then smaller characters should get faster movement speed
I love this game but we should be able to prestige or something after hitting level 100 ive leveled up anout 20+ times and haven't gotten a Apex package its just not rewarding players that put time into the game plus we can barely do anything with the red currency! I find it very frustrating anyone else with me?
gibraltar Shield passive should scale from his armor so stronger if he has Epic vs Common :) Force playeres do even do only headshoots or shoot is feet :) While caustic needs HP buff :)
Caustic needs a gas dmg buff
@@Arc_Eden the gas is not about the dmg tho :) its about that lose sight and are slowed + dmg is just a way to keep it so you wont stay in it :) Buff the dmg and the gas is to broken...
@@Sacredl1es It's too easy to escape, you take 1 tick of dmg n you're out.... he's only useful for blocking doors with the canisters. Also, Wraith will tell you there are traps, so you just shoot the bottom and destroy it completely
@@Arc_Eden If they buff the dmg with sight being gone and slowed is to broken :) Also Wraith can see them yes but i seen players that set them places where i cant evenshoot them :) or around corners :) The gas is used to zone of players :) If you buff the dmg the char becomes broken.... He only needs hp buff.
