I met Benji at DW gym in Newport.
It was my first time out for a longtime.
Depression had affected me and this was a daunting experience.
I was at reception, having palpitations and uncertain if I had made the right decision.
Obviously, nobody knew my back story and up came Benji.
It was only a ten min conversion but this man helped me by just being kind.
He was a light in a dark tunnel.
He will not even remember me as his kindness is universal.
He made a depressed woman feel valued that day.
Thank you Benji.

Absolute legend, i had the honour of supporting Skindreds on bills, promoting a show they headlined. Honest, Skindred are simply of the best live bands in the world and have been for over a decade. Benji himself is a legend, because outside of them music, he totally changes people perceptions of Welsh people. People forget skindred supported at Korn at Madison Square Garden, massively underrated and a true export of this area. Legend. Loved this episode.

I loved that saying, you're looking at the colour of their skin and not the content of their character. I'm having that one.ive always had an affinity for the Welsh being from a coal and steel industry area growing up. As Wales did.i knew a lad from port Talbot was mad as a box of frogs

Benji seems like such a nice guy, would be awesome to hang out with him. I have been a Skindred fan since i heard Nobody playing NFSU2. Babylon is a fantastic album, i like Dub War also. I love what he does with music, as i'm a fan of rock, punk, funk, reggae, hip hop and more. I wonder if Benji is a fan of 311, a band that did something bit similar, started around the same time in early 90s but in USA.
I came here for the Benji knowledge but I clicked like and subscribe for the Manscaped ad. That slaps bro! (already a customer but never heard such a good musical ad!)
Yo real genuine special genius gentlemen SKINDRED was the first band my 13yr old Son had the pleasure to witness @ Download Festival 2011 where System of a Down headlined on the Saturday after Avenged Sevenfold. BENJI was wearing the Union Jack blinging blazer! He really got the crowd whipped up in a frenzy dancing like robots and all of Download doing the Newport Helicopter!!! amazing really underrated band we have followed them ever since Rock city Nottingham was a banger with SOIL opening up for them. What an amazing guy top man!!!

Top man, my daughter was staying at the same hotel as him at Download. She got a couple of photos, and Benji demanded that my daughter took a video of him telling her to f**k off and stop stalking him. Hilarious. That was the first year I missed Download, gutted not have met him
Best band the UK/wales has produced in fucking years, it angers me these guys aren't mainstream.
Funniest benji story I met him at Newport tjs back when I was 17 when I cut myself on a bottle at a vandals show, him and the owner john (RIP), they taped my arm up and told me to go have more fun.

I still need to try gym. Managed to loose a lot of weigh by just diet, but would be nice to get healthy and stronger than my wimpy ass. I got to like 24 stone but back down to 17 and a half by just diet. Well i was broke so couldn't afford food.

Bro, you asked Benji why he was not lauded like other Welsh bands. The answer is simple, so if you can, tell him. Despite the fact he identifies as Welsh/Cymru, which is cool, no other Welsh band does, and never will identify with the Union Jack. It’s as simple as that, and has absolutely nothing to do with the dude’s skin bro. Trust me, I know
