If I uninstall the icemaker on this same fridge and don't put it back is that fine? Are they optional to begin with? Thanks in advance. We just got a used one and prefer the extra freezer storage space without it.
Yes, absolutely.
Make sure you turn off the water line.
You can also remove the line from the frig altogether and simply leave it capped at the source.
Any issue if I just leave it off? We only use the ice maker in the fridge and could use the extra freezer space.

You may want to turn off the water line just to be safe.
What about the water hose that goes into the ice maker? How do you put that in place?
As in on the back of the frig?

That depends on what you take apart.
If you do anything with water lines then I’d definitely turn off the valve.
Which model ice maker did you use
I’m not even sure.
If you search for the part number for your refrigerator you can get the ice maker that is compatible with your frig.
Several may be cross-compatible. However, using your frig model to get the right ice maker is the best option.
How resets this machine
There should be a metal lever.
You didn't level it out, there should have been a bracket on the bottom to adjust it.

No such bracket exists.
@@HowToVideoChannel There was an L shaped bracket/brace on my new one but not on the original. There's no adjustment on it as its right where it needs to be anyway. Any level adjustment would be made with the 1/4" screws but if you correctly tighten them its sitting where it should.
Strange how the models always change.
