- Hey guys, so I loved the new episode, I’d say it’s the best episode of Season 5 yet! Hopefully, we’ll get some more good ones like this in the future! By now I’m sure many of you know that we live for this kind of angst! I made this edit in about 12 hours or so I guess? Maybe that’s the new staple for me? Do it all in one block sitting! That’s the good thing when you work nights I suppose? On days off, there’s nobody around at night and there’s also nothing to do!
So I loved this episode, I still love Lena, she’s one of the most fascinating characters because she’s more morally grey, which I love in a character, she’s so complex. The amount of hate she’s currently getting is uncalled for and unfortunate, but what else can you do? I guess it’s a scene that breaks most Supercorps hearts? Either way, I love this kind of drama so I am totally here for it. Not that I am defending Lena, she is in the wrong on many levels but I can also understand why she feels the way she does, she’s just going about things in the wrong way. Sometimes hurt and pain make people act irrationally.
FYI Kara has and always will be our favourite character (Along with Alex), hence the icon and goodness knows how many videos dedicated to her! We are ALWAYS pro Kara.

The way kara didn't react to the pain of the kryptonite shows how much te pain of losing lena hurt. Nothing could compare to that, nothing could hurt more than losing lena so she just took the punishment.
I’ve seen many people saying a similar thing, it is probably true, she probably does feel it but it may not be as noticeable to her with the emotional pain that she’s also feeling?

This episode was phenomenal! When Lena yelled “NO! I killed my brother for you, for our friends! Don’t you understand what you’ve done?” I was finally able to get a deeper understanding of her hurt. Kara keeps trying to defend herself and apologize, she’s not understanding how her lies affected Lena, she wasn’t trying to understand because she was too wrapped up in the possibility of Lena not wanting to be friends anymore, In the fortress scene Lena was clearly trying to get her to see how the betrayal had affected her. That scene was a necessary one, Kara needed to fully understand Lena’s side, and her pain. She can’t forgive Kara yet, because she can’t trust her to be telling the truth. This is truly a complicated situation. Unless the martian manhunter can somehow open Kara’s mind to Lena so she can see the depth of Kara’s sincerity and guilt then this is probably gonna take awhile to hash out.
Also- to the people saying that, after this episode, they don’t see how Lena’s redemption is possible; are you serious? Lena explaining her side of the story and what she believes makes her somehow more “evil” than she was last ep? Lena’s No Harm project is based on good intentions, however misguided the project is that remains to be true. Once she realizes exactly how misguided it is then that’ll be easily fixed. Lena has been betrayed by literally everyone in her life besides her birth mother, and maybe Jack. She’s human! What do you expect her to do after all she’s been through? Not everyone’s like Supergirl. They can’t constantly choose good instead of evil after they’ve been through hell. Believe me though, I understand that when Kara starts crying we feel inclined to jump on “her side”, because when Kara starts crying it feels like the world is splitting, but you NEED to understand Lena. She reacts to experiences like any normal person whose been through a lot. I’m not saying Lena’s innocent, I mean she just left Kara alone in a box of kryptonite in the fortress of solitude, i’m saying that she’s human and should be treated as such. I’m not on Lena’s side and i’m not on Kara’s. Both of them are at fault, but I believe in both of them. I believe in Kara to understand, and I believe in Lena to be able to forgive.
Lena is hurt, not evil. The lines between the two are getting blurrier but they’re definitely still there.
Their relationship was always going to be difficult, while Lena’s achilles heel is betrayal, Kara’s own one is losing people

I get that Kara lied to her and trust is hard for Lena, but sabotaging Kara’s plan to stop the Leviathan? That’s too far. Not sure you notice but every season since she’s been there, Lena is always the cause of something bad, destructive. She always has good intentions but they aren’t put the right way. Even so, Kara, or Supergirl, never gave up on her. Hell, Lena allowed the daxamites to invade causing the one person Kara loved to be sent away. Gone. And Kara still didn’t give up on her. Not to mention, Lena is a LUTHOR. Even if you get to know them besides Lex, you still would have precautions. Even if you became friends with let’s say the Supreme Leader of North Korea, would you want to tell them your deepest secret? No, you don’t know what they’ll do with it.
Anyway, I totally see both sides but I do think Lena is overreacting just a bit.

When she found out last season and her reaction killed me she is one of my fav characters. It reminded me a lot of what happened in Merlin when she played Morgana Pendragon 😢

This is a terrific video that scene in the episode in the fortress was so powerful melissa and katie killed it and I honestly don't know how kara and lena will ever be friends again but I think that not all hope is lost by the end of season kara will find a way to reconcile with lena
They really did kill it I think it’s the best scene they’ve done together so far! Part of me thinks they’ll reconcile before the end of the season.

So now Lena knows Kara is Supergirl from her perspective Kara didn't tell her she was Supergirl because she didn't trust her enough like asking James to spy on her etc because she's a Luthor (thus treating her like a villain).

She did in S3 when she made the kryptonite for Sam, she made James to search in L Corp for more kryptonite, she cuestioned everything Lena did, that's what Lena refers to that line.

I think Kara and Lena will work things out eventually. Lena will lose her new family if she continues down the path she’s on, most especially now that Kara knows and it seems that Alex finds out next episode. Alex is less forgiving than Kara and I am waiting for her to go full older protective sister on Lena next episode or whenever they next meet.

Yeah I think you're right. I believe that Kara and Lena will make amends eventually too. They have a lot to work on and yes it won't be easy especially now that Kara knows the truth as does Alex (given that she finds out next episode). Lol we all know Alex can be very protective of Kara and I'm looking forward to that confrontation scene too between Alex and Lena.

My God. I'm speechless. The editing is amazing and I feel that your video shows Lena's point of view better than the show ever could. Everyone is caught up on how she has turned evil and how she has stabbed Kara in the back and yes she has betrayed her. But kara was the one to betray her first and this video shows exactly how that happened and the build up to how they got here

I watched the episode in Spanish and it doesn't make you feel the same. It is 100% better with her real voice, she does a great job job expressing her emotions. And good video by the way XD
That tends to be the way when it comes to dubbed shows. I prefer to watch shows in their native tongue and put subtitles on if I don't understand.
Was rewatching the show in preparation for the finale. But kinda felt like James was a major factor in causing the downward spiral of the relationship between Supergirl and Lena. He spent so much time voicing suspicions of Lena to Kara and then suddenly did a 180, instead of convincing Kara that they shouldnt break Lena's trust to check whether she had kryptonite, he decided to rat on her instead...

Wow... I was hoping that you would make a video using that intense moment, and you killed it, tenfold. This was as intense, if not even more intense than the actual moment. I love how you took the speech and split it up into chunks. The best part was that it wasn't in order. It was like watching that moment unfolding based on their friendship. It was so incredible to watch. You really captured every single moment that that speech touched on. There aren't words for how incredibly beautiful this video was.
I did put it in order initially but then I thought I’d rather mix it up and put it into relevant sections. I mean I usually place the quotes first and build around it. So I put chunks of the scene in and started breaking it a part and placing it through out and then added whatever was relevant around the quotes. Simple really! Haha

I think all those Lena loves are like her kryptonite, and Kara literally broke that line. I really felt that. I hope everything changes, i need to know more! And the end... omg, im not going to spoilers but u know how the end leaves us.
I NEED to know what’s going to happen next episode! I want to see how Alex reacts, especially what will happen between Lena and Alex. I expect Alex to go full on protective big sister on her for sure! I hope they don’t rob us if that moment! We all know that Kara will have already forgiven her and blame herself so we know that Kara will still be reaching out to Lena.
