Lionel Legacy PRR K4

This is probably my all time favorite 4-6-2 class steam locomotive, The PRR K4 #1361. However this model actually has a different sound board that I myself installed on it. Now its whistle sounds like what it should sound like which is the PRR 3 Chime.

Still a missed opportunity Lionel didn't do this from the get go. It sounds much better, and the chuffing sounds nicer too. Great job!

I’ve heard a lot of different recordings of Pennsy 3 chimes and a lot of them have different sound variations. Probably based on psi among other things. The whistle that Lionel put on the legacy K4’s I don’t think is inaccurate based on what I’ve heard but some may prefer the legacy M1a 3 chime which I believe this to be
