    I worked as a Harley-Davidson service advisor for almost 17 years. I can tell you from experience that most techs will install the axle from the left side every time. It prevents having to move or remove the exhaust to service anything in the rear.

      So next time they have to take off the rim they don't have to take off the exhaust pipe

    • @dwel327
      @dwel327 Před 6 lety

      The axle sometimes makes contact with the saddlebag n can damage it.. or even cause it to come off the bottom support

    • @isaacbeasley3302
      @isaacbeasley3302 Před 5 lety +2

      It appears there's no clearance between the right saddlebag and upper exhaust pipe to pull the axle out for next time you change tires. So if you kept the axle at factory standard, you'd have to remove that right bag or the top pipe to change the tire. If you have true dual pipes like I did on my 2016 FLSTC, the direction doesn't matter because either way the axle faces, you'll have to dismount a bag. They're saving your mechanic time and YOU a little extra cash from time worth of labor. Ride safe, brothers!

      I have Vance and Hines Longshots on my 2016 Heritage so I'd either have to take the exhaust off now and swap the axel or just wait until I needed a new tire🤷‍♂️

      They should since you can mount hard bags to a road kind if it fits Harley hard bags it should fit road king bags. I’m fixing to try to this out myself soon for road king bags if you haven’t already done it I will update

      Except the cheap brackets do not have a bridge. The top mounts crack and break off due to vibration over time, without the bridge. If this happens while riding it can be very hazardous, the bag will fall down into the turning wheel. I know, it happened to me. never do the $40 copies.

    Softail is garbage, that rear suspention is garbage. Buy a real bike and even then you need to buy some Legend shocks or some other quality shocks in the right length to get full travel.

    • @AJ-nh8ik
      @AJ-nh8ik Před rokem +3

      so by your logic, every bike is garbage and you still have to do the same thing to get full travel.
