I could listen to this song all day!! There are people who should live forever, Robben is definitely one of them.
Sensacional! 🎉
Damn, you sure spent some times in each other pockets. Hats off to everyone!
The four tunes with Robben Ford are outstanding, thanks a lot. The drummer sure is good. Such tasty drumming on this tune. Ed Partyka.... such good arrangements!
Daryl and Mark Daryl and Mark guitar hero guitars Gibson has.
Yes, as an exception. The sax section in this arrangement is one alto, two tenors, two baritones.
Great voice, guitar and band - superb
lyrics
Mexico a disaster
It's time I disappear
Spent my fortune on breakfast
Scrambled eggs and beer
Broke but glad to be breathing
And leaving here at last
Point myself at my future
Forget about the past
[Chorus:]
I wish you green grass, rain water
And a window taking light from the east
Providence your umbrella be
Now let your dog run free
Shook my head at the mirror
Said "save yourself while you can"
I tried harder to please you baby
Than any self-respecting man
Shake the dust off my jacket
I've fought the final fight
Can't blame fools for trying
We just didn't get it right
[Chorus]
[Bridge]
Our labors made at love were lost
I've paid the cost for my mistakes
The tower fell but I wish you well
Don't bother about me any more
Don't bother 'bout me anymore
Hit San Diego at sundown
Another hot summer night
Made my way down to the water to see
The reflection of the harbor lights
A shining sea of illusion
The original sin
Me I've taken a good long look
I've reviewed the shape I'm in
so beatiful..
Im-pre-sio-nan-te!!!
And a super Dumble Amp !!!! Waou
Mister Leicht playing Tenor???
Is there a CD or blu ray copy I can buy for this Robben Ford & hr-Bigband performance.
+Arnel Rodriguez -- No, I am sorry. We are not planning to publish either a CD nor a blue ray of the performance.
+hrbigband ....oh ok...thanks so much for your response.
+Arnel Rodriguez Try his "Day in Nashville" album. Many of the same songs are on it, though many do not have horn arrangements. It's much more guitar-oriented.
Thanks Mark, I will check it out....
Yea. Each to his own. But that guitar was just too paltry. I woulda produced it with a lot more ZAZZ on that tele.
