I spoke to Karen Dunbar today. She was visiting my college to chat with acting students and is currently in rehearsals for, 'The Importance of Being Ernest' at Perth Theatre. I asked how much of the writing for Chewin' the Fat she was involved in and she told me that Sanjeev Kholi (Naveed: Still Game), wrote the shop lady sketches. She was very funny and told us that she once did stand-up comedy in New York.
'Hun' is a reference to Attila the Hun and his lot, used to describe savages - in the World Wars it was used as a derogatory term for Germans. Like in 1917 - "I don't like losing these to the Hun."
In Scotland it is also used to talk about Rangers and their fans - "Hun bastards."
The taxi driver is a Celtic fan calling him a hun.
def a different way then we use him today! interesting thank you fam for the info. I really do appreciate it!
Dingy means ignoring someone.
Love your reaction.you react to some classics that other reactors don't.
Kid, my fav character is Ronald Villiers . You'll see why when we get to the SALEM sketch
a rubber dingy - to ignore what you said .
A harmonica - a moothie .
Dingying or patching basically ignoring them
❤️
Great comedy
Loving these reactions shagger, would you be interested in reacting to a song thats probably never been reacted too ever? Since youre doing all these scottish based comedy i think it would be awesome if you react to this wee beauty of a song called loch lomand by runrig live.
i am always open to all suggestion never hesistate to suggest ill do my best to make it happen. thanks lad!
Bro Where's the limmy's show
soon probably for next week. I have a fear it will get not shown that is the reason im hesistant on new shows I've tried 3 different shows like the inbetweeners, father ted and something else for it to fail so im scared lol
I gotta say, this isn't the best series. 2nd series onwards are a very different beast. Much better writing and characters. Still like this tho kid
im hoping to like the s2 better. if it improves as it goes on then that's wats up. some shows get better each season and some are the opposite so with knowing it will get better I look forward
@@bxkid7 I think they started to really beef-out characters from s2 onwards. Their writing gets so much better, def worth sticking with it. My alltime fav are the ' Glesga Cowboys ' sketches....hilarious
@@bxkid7 Yep as Keyser said, it gets better from 2nd series! more characters being introduced etc! the first series to me, that there is some funny bits! but it was a platform for the writers/actors that where just starting out! and it showed that they become more confident in their writing by the time they got to the 2nd, 3rd and 4th series! then finally hit the big time with Still Game being their best product to date!
That skit at the beginning... Repulsive 🤮
I love your posts, mate. Your joy at Still Game and Chewing the Fat gives me all the happys 👌❤️
