Both the Skoda Rapid and VW Vento are essentially the same car with a different set of clothes. Both have identical engine options as well as gearboxes to choose from. But is the VW badge enough to justify its slightly higher sticker price or does the Skoda Rapid make a better choice?
truly, every auto reviewer is paid by auto companies in India , guys buy only that car which satisfy your needs whether it is comfort or performance and the best way to know the reality is go for test drive, you feel lots of difference between auto reviewer and your own experience

I own a rapid and it has the lever at the back. Please make sure which model of rapid you're reviewing.
The removed it again in 2017. They added it in 2016 facelift. Apparently it is a safety issue, some accidents where back passengers got hurt because of it.
@Bho Loo for seat adjustment. Which this guy said is available for vento but not rapid.

I don't know everyone talk about that single comment about the seat lever all should never forget Skoda is sharing auto parts and the production units from VW in India since they have worst service maintainece of Skoda owners says that not only the car should talk about the behind on maintenance should also be concentrated as we all live in Indian road conditions VW doing better on those so guys talk neutral on comments even we own both Vento&Skoda dad and brother so I do agree with points

both cars were having the same.but rapid engine and transmission is good plus good quality.
Bottomline: These cars are same. Same build, quality and every damn thing. VW has a little better service that Skoda. That is it.

On what basis are you deciding this ? When u say rapid has better driving and control but Vento might have better plastic. And you decide to go for Vento - Do you mean interior plastic should have a higher weightage to handling and drive experience ?
vento has lasrge network, thats d only problem rapid is facing in india.

Exactly. I was surprised by the abrupt conclusion in the end without much nuances of saying if the interior is what you want (or chauffeur driven), go for vento coughing up more bucks while if the handling that you are interested then go for rapid.
dont forget that Volkswagen is dad of Skoda..

The rapid also provides the lever to push the front passenger seat i guess. In the top end model only though.

Rapid is always better than VW. Ground clearence is higher and suspension is good in Rapid.

i do not know how he chose a winner by comparing two practically same cars . VW wins because of the badge ( LOL ) , the interiors ( VW AT is 1.7 L more expensive than rapid) and the diesel engine ( LOL LOL LOL LOL!!!!!! its the same engine dude )

rapid suspension performes better in high speed but vento suspension is very soft ideal for city not for highway but vw service network is better than Skoda in other words I wants to say that if you will to pay more than go for rapid but if want to save some money than vento is ideal
I seriously couldnt find any much difference in either cars. Both are same and what this guy says doesnt make much sense. I dont see how he feel any difference. Everything is almost the same except the external body.
Well there is not much difference tbh but the rapids interior is more on a sporty feels and the vento wants is more on luxurious feel and bout drive the rapid is bit faster than vento and handles better than vento
