Here's another fun trick I've been using since, 1979 on vocals. I will add some fixed delay. On the lead vocal. Somewhere between, 25 and 35 milli-seconds. What this does. Is put them on the backside of the beat. Instead of on the top of the beat. Which makes them sound more rushed. Until you add this short delay. And it changes the whole feel. I liked doing that. Sometimes I would add a couple of milli-seconds to the snare drum track. Like 2 or 3 ms. And that's another amazing thing to do. As actually. That kind of, time aligns, the snare drum. With the overhead pickup. And can actually fatten up your snare drum and make it larger sounding, still. I mean I've done all this stuff through the years since 1979. On some big-money projects. Where millions of dollars was riding on this. And you want to get it right. You want it, refined, sounding. You want to add some class. And these are small but remarkable sounding changes. And fun to do. It'll amaze you.
One trick i learned recently is after the delay put an aggressive comp so that while the vocal phrase is running the delay is minimal but swells back in once the phrase is complete Just need to be mindful to automate if you have a "gappy" phrase, or adjust your release time but that depends how "gappy" the phrase is
I was just wondering the Samething. Haven't seen any tutorials on it and I usually figure stuff like that out. I figured it could be the Mac version of FL Studio. I have PC. Lemme know if you find out before me!🙏🏿
Change the mixer view. I think it’s called extra wide, not sure but it’s the last selection at the bottom of the list. Top left of the mixer is where you can select which view you want.
I used to use mostly waves plugins, myself. For years! Some still remain in heavy rotation. However, I’ve come to find that many of their plugins are aliasing nightmares, and are simply outdated compared to modern options with over sampling and higher quality sound. I used to love f6… until I got Kirchhoff. Used to love the 1176 and 2A… Until I got Klanghelm MJUC. Used to love NLS… Until I got Kazrog True Iron… The list goes on.
H Delay is great. I do recommend reducing the output knob. There's quite a bit of whitenoise that comes out of there at 0db.
Analog as well
That’s because you didn’t turn off the analog signal

How do you automate w the delay effect?
This might be a stupid question but how do you show the mixer tracks what plugins you’re using on the channel strip?
Or just put a trackspacer on the efx bus with a side chain to the vocals
Damn I spent thousands on plugins and don’t have these 🤦♂️
Привет, подскажи пожалуйста как сделать под громкостью на канале микшера столбиком плагины чтоб показывались как у тебя на видео, pls pls pls
