Robert is my second cousin and we grew up in So Bay area of Ca. and raised by a well religiond, hard working, successful, respectful, loving family that influenced our younger generations to be the best at whatever we do. Peace cuz.

Right on!! That's Frickin' cool! If you get to talk to him anytime soon let him know that fans like me really appreciate his down to Earth manner. Obviously I know he will not ever change for anybody.
If he ever comes to Vegas I would love to meet him.
I can't afford the $1,000, and up ticket prices to meet him. :-/
That's the sad thing about Robert being in Metallica. You have to pay way more for a Meet, and Greet, because of the band's success.
Thanks for sharing your story. :-)

Yo, tell him "thanks for creating the Jaco Film". It's really amazing. I'm a bass player and because of him and few of my teachers, I learned who Jaco Pastorius was. Jaco motivated me to be a better bass player and I really love his music a lot. Other than that, long live Jaco Pastorius and Metallica rules:).

Justin Jimenez if you want to hear Jaco at his most insane level of playing check out the early Mahivishnu Orchestra albums , Jaco and Billy Cobham made up the best rythm section I ever saw with exception to Frank Zappas massive rythm section , I saw Jaco many times and miss him alot .

I like Robert so much. Like what was written below He IS a really down to Earth guy. I wrote this on a different post that Robert seems like he would be a cool guy to hang out with, play some pool, and just chill with. With all of the fame, and fortune he has not let it go to his head. I like that he said that you shouldn't act PreMadonna, and that you should do your music for the love of the art, and not just to get rich, and famous. Not exactly in those words, but you get what he means. :-)

Bumped into Trujillo while checking waves at Zuma some years back. Super mellow and down to earth cat. Decent surfer as well. Saw him with ST for their first show in CA after a 5 year ban in Irvine. It was INSANE. Riot cops everywhere. Gnarly pits. He did a huge stage dive at/towards the end of the show. Death Angel and Exodus opened. Mental show.

Is that a "Dog town" shirt? awesome, I'm a metal drummer since 1970, and I skateboarded all through the 70's, me and y buddy Dave Craven from Maynard Mass, skated everywhere, we graduated Maynard High School in 1978. but there was a place we skated in Maynard we called "Dog town".

Roberts skill set is light years ahead of the rest of Metallica, he should be playing with Return to Forever, Mahavishnu Orchestra, Zappa ,Weather Report etc etc etc ,he's the only literate musician in the band ,it must blow their mind watching Rob site read music .
