Such a down to earth guy
He is such a humble man. So talented, well spoken, relatable.
I very much admire and respect him.
Robert trujillo is a class act, so down to earth and an excellent bass player
Metallica sucks but do think he better then rest of band just like dave mustine and cliff burton still best metllica well ever have can replace that truth of mellica history there were metallica more then james and Lars ever be
Robert is my second cousin and we grew up in So Bay area of Ca. and raised by a well religiond, hard working, successful, respectful, loving family that influenced our younger generations to be the best at whatever we do. Peace cuz.
Right on!! That's Frickin' cool! If you get to talk to him anytime soon let him know that fans like me really appreciate his down to Earth manner. Obviously I know he will not ever change for anybody.
If he ever comes to Vegas I would love to meet him.
I can't afford the $1,000, and up ticket prices to meet him. :-/
That's the sad thing about Robert being in Metallica. You have to pay way more for a Meet, and Greet, because of the band's success.
Thanks for sharing your story. :-)
give him my love bro his is a real cool dude and one hell of a badass bass player
Yo, tell him "thanks for creating the Jaco Film". It's really amazing. I'm a bass player and because of him and few of my teachers, I learned who Jaco Pastorius was. Jaco motivated me to be a better bass player and I really love his music a lot. Other than that, long live Jaco Pastorius and Metallica rules:).
You have to pay money to meet these dicks? !!
Justin Jimenez if you want to hear Jaco at his most insane level of playing check out the early Mahivishnu Orchestra albums , Jaco and Billy Cobham made up the best rythm section I ever saw with exception to Frank Zappas massive rythm section , I saw Jaco many times and miss him alot .
Robert played with so many other musicians because,
1. He's insanely good
2. He's professional
3. He's a cool and likeable guy
He does the best Ozzy impression!
Jaco Pastorious is the man!!! good to see the guys talking about how he changed their life... this guy saved Jaco's best bass and is such a cool, sweet man. great bassist.. awesome guy
"make music for the love of the art" wow, such an amazing person!!!
This interview opened my eyes.... The bass player for metallica likes Weather report. It makes sense.
I was a Suicidal Tendencies fan before Metallica. Awesome for Rob, and he's rockin' the DogTown Skates shirt !!
Seemed like such an innocent toy
He was an All-American boy
Got a skate at eight years old
Now the story can be told
A penny saved is a penny earned, but a stolen case of
beer gets you a hell of a lot drunker
suicyco4life. brilliant.
Venice!!!
He's also a good jazz player as well.
Robert is so cool.
So impressed with how down to earth and what a genuine nice guy he is.
I like Robert so much. Like what was written below He IS a really down to Earth guy. I wrote this on a different post that Robert seems like he would be a cool guy to hang out with, play some pool, and just chill with. With all of the fame, and fortune he has not let it go to his head. I like that he said that you shouldn't act PreMadonna, and that you should do your music for the love of the art, and not just to get rich, and famous. Not exactly in those words, but you get what he means. :-)
Love how he always gives the master a heads up! thanks Robert!
Bumped into Trujillo while checking waves at Zuma some years back. Super mellow and down to earth cat. Decent surfer as well. Saw him with ST for their first show in CA after a 5 year ban in Irvine. It was INSANE. Riot cops everywhere. Gnarly pits. He did a huge stage dive at/towards the end of the show. Death Angel and Exodus opened. Mental show.
Love him so much
I really like him. I can see he has that inner calmess and i believe that is because he is part native american indian.....
I agree. Robert seems very humble, down to earth, and a great bass player, who doesn't act like a pre-madonna as like other famous rocker's do...
Great guy and super talented musician 🤘
Seems like a cool gentle man
Wow, what an inspiration to listen to.
Seems like a real sweet guy. Not my style of music, but so what? Dude can shred the bass, and we share some musical influences. I'd love to jam with Robert!
Softy
Love you Brother Down with the ST ARMY!
This man lives my dream.
Top notch fellow.
Robert f’ing Trujillo! 🤘🏾
excellent questions
Seriously cool guy
I love how he always pays his respects to his suicidal tendencies days they were huge in making him who he is.
cool dude!
I remember him opening up for Metallica when he played with Suicidal Tendencies
Joco is an awesome bass player
Of course the bass player was nervous..... he's playing with a pick in front of Trujillo....
Thank u mr Trujillo. I rank u w mr hetfield as a person as well as musician.
He is a cool guy
I didnt know he was so cool
Is that a "Dog town" shirt? awesome, I'm a metal drummer since 1970, and I skateboarded all through the 70's, me and y buddy Dave Craven from Maynard Mass, skated everywhere, we graduated Maynard High School in 1978. but there was a place we skated in Maynard we called "Dog town".
DOGTOWN IS VENICE DUDE , IN L.A
I lived in Maynard until 1976. Moved to NH when I was going into my freshman year.
"Picks are for guitarists."- geddy lee
Roberts skill set is light years ahead of the rest of Metallica, he should be playing with Return to Forever, Mahavishnu Orchestra, Zappa ,Weather Report etc etc etc ,he's the only literate musician in the band ,it must blow their mind watching Rob site read music .
Hey guys, anyone knows the music at the beggining of the video? Thank you..
Im from mexico and i cant see it on netflix :(
4:55 looks like Seth Rollins is performing for Roman Reigns!
I was a fan _before_ his Yellow Pages commercial
Wow he's like a mash of Roman Reings (WWE) and Dominic West (Actor)
He bought another level to Suicidal Tendencies
the man who saved metallica IMO
Premadona attitudes and hard to deal with..... Um Lars.
and then Megadeath Peace sells happened - great guy though
dat cover band lol
Umm...hair dyed?
