listened to this a lot on a 2 week backpacking trip and it always takes me back to those cold nights sleeping alone in the forest
Listened to The Swan when going to work very early in the morning when the sky was still black. On the bus looking at all the ran down houses and businesses. Pretty cool 👌

That album had pretty solid reviews a few years ago. For me it’s one of my fave albums from the genre meanwhile. Love the midtempo/slow, melancholic atmosphere.
Probably the most beautiful and calm BM album. Thank you.

That was exactly my first thought. How can there be a better version than this great Garmana version. But this one is much deeper - just awesome!
Garmarna’s version has more of a “viking raid” vibe, while Ofdrykkja’s feels like a serenade, which in my view fits the lyrical content better.

great, great, great album! filled with strong emotions, each song - a masterpiece! after hearing 'Wither' I was looking forward for the album. And it is high above any expectations! But most surprising was... 'Herr Mannelig'. Frankly speaking, this folk song always sounded a little bit flat for my - in sense of music. And Ofdrykkja's version... It's great! I really liked it! And - at last! - felt emotions, which are in lyrics! Music and vocals spoke right into my heart.
That's is really great album!

Nice cover of Herr Mannelig!
Not even done with the first listening and i like Gryningsvisor, its better than Irrfärd.
But i wish they would had kept more of their early days sound (A life worth losing and earlier bands.) This sounds more of a mix from Irrfärd and at the end even a little from A life worth losing.
Sure i like the new sound too and are happy i pre ordered this album. Ofdrykkja is one of the best bands i know, when it comes to give you a feeling.

I love the acoustic instruments used, they effectively contrast the raw guitars and vocals. Definitely seems like a nod towards Agalloch and bands like them.
