Definitely agree with you Victor this years crazy weather seemed to effect the beds this year at least for me in NE Ohio on my local lakes for BG’s. And my river was blown out from all the rain for my smallies. Glad you’ve been getting out!
By end of May I was always through up in the lake. Summer was always pretty good in the tailrace. Yes weird year…and out here also. Keep on keeping on!

Victor I'm a75 year old ultra lite fishermen you and Randy are my heroes . the big bluegill beded early in Kentucky. The first full moon in may lots of beds mostly smaller ones at least here in Eastern Kentucky. I don't have the nice equipment you guys do. I fish with TFO rods and Diawa revos 1000 2lb SOS line 1 inch gulp minnow and trout magnet. Keep up the rants

You've got me beat by about three years, but I also enjoy both Randy's and Victor's channels. I also use TFO Trout and Panfish II, a Dobyn's Sierra Series Trout and Panfish, a St. Croix Trout and Panfish and a Daiwa Presso Ultra-lite rods. My reels are mostly Shimano (Vanford 2000S, Stradic 1000, Miravel 1000 and Sahara 2000S) and 2 Daiwa Regal 1000's.) I really enjoy catching fish on them all! Due to the fact that I'm on a fixed retirement income, I'll most likely never own a really high end rod and reel, but that's O.K. I love catching fish on the things that I do own. I have fine tuned a few things after watching Victor's channel. Love the BG-1 jigs! Still can't go 2 lb. line though. It'd be broken in a second fishing at most of the places I fish. I use 4 lb. test leaders on either 6 or 8 lb. braid, mostly. Do that for the casting distance. Daiwa J-Braid high vis chartreuse is pretty awesome for that, and I can see it with my 72 year old good eye. Blessings!
have you ever thought about wading down a creek with a ultra light seeing all the dif species you can catch on micro lures ? its so much fun and never know might find some secret honey holes
Yes, i have thought about it but that sound very tiring and sweaty and uncomfortable. I work very hard all week and i want to rest during the weekend and i want to go with the boat and relax and i have no energy for that type of thing. I agree that it can be fun, but it is 20 years too late for me. Back in my 20s i would have done it.

Another awesome video! After rigging up some trout magnets on the BG1s I noticed what you've been talking about. They've definitely gotten thinner or are just inconsistent. Think Ill share my disappontment with Leland Lures

Crazy Sunfish bedding year for sure here in NC also. I thought it was because of a massive fish die off last summer in one pond I fish regularly, but it was the same on other ponds as well. The largest bed (on my go to pond) had ZERO spawners this year. The two smaller bedding locations had very few larger bluegill, and then I was only able to catch 3 - 4 per trip there, instead of 6-10 per bed. Then in late May, Shellcrackers took over those two beds. I don't remember EVER catching Shellcrackers at those two spots in previous years. I also never saw any bass at their usual bedding locations. They must have spawned though, because I have seen small (really small) schools of bass fry. Interesting to read comments and see that it was unusual in NE Ohio as well.

Another awesome video, off-topic but you’ve helped me make informed purchases for jdm gear. One question, have you tried any mule fishing plastics or jigs? Opinions?
I have seen them but not fished them... They work fine i have pretty particular tastes/requirements for hooks and for lure profile and they are just not my thing. But i am not your average customer, as you know... to say i am particular is an understatement ..

You mention again about the trout magnet size. I don’t know the properties of fishing plastics. But I wonder if they are using a different oil? Hear me out. Maybe they used to absorb a particular oil and swell? And now they either changed plastic properties or oil and that changed the absorption and the size seems different? Just trying to figure that one out. Especially if they say they didn’t change size. That would take machining new molds out. I mean, I don’t know it was just a thought.
Very well could be true. I don't know the process, but i can tell the final product is different. As for the adds - i can't control what youtube puts, and if you are talking about putting ifishtackle products from time to time, this is the absolute minimum. I actually made some videos where i disabled youtube adds to see if the videos will get more view, and the videos did horrible, because youtube doesn't want to show videos with disabled adds because they don't make money from those
Victor, No I would never tell you how to do Ads with your own products. Never.. What I mentioned was the CZcams Ads. It’s out of your control. Then there is nothing you can do. They probably don’t put your video out there if it doesn’t have Ads. I could see them doing that. That doesn’t surprise me at all.
