It has been proven that wearing leather bottom shoes like moccasins has the same grounding as your experiment. Native Americans knew this wayyyyy before anyone. they should receive all the credit about grounding since they talked about it first centuries ago.
I 100% agreed. This is a resurfacing of ancient wisdom. The only draw backs to leather soles are their low durabililty and traction.
@BornToRunBarefoot if you can not address someone with out insulting them, just keep your comments to yourself next time...this is sadly exactly what's wrong with our society today, we need unity not division..

I miss Kalso Earth (negative heel)Shoes. I've been wearing them in college since 1970. They stopped making them in Men's larger sizes, like mine 11.5 wide five years ago. Since many of their shoes are Unisex, guys with smaller feet, size 8 medium can still find this brand shoe. I have one busted up pair that I', going to get repaired and grounded like this. I LIVED ON THE BEACH IN PUERTO RICO 2011. IT WAS THE FIRST TIME SINCE CHILDHOOD THAT I WALKED AROUND BAREFOOT MOST OF THE DAY. HEALING.
I have never tried the negative heel Earth Shoes but I have always wanted to give them a spin. Thanks for sharing and good luck on your project.
I'n getting my kit very soon! I'm too excited!
Thank you brother!
Super awesome sauce!! Thank you!!!
Wow! The kit is worth getting! I checked out the shoes and they're expensive. I prefer the kit. I also want to 'friend' the bed. Thank you so much for sharing. Blessings.
How do you ground your bed? I live in an apartment, second floor, getting out in three months hopefully to a single level home not in an apartment
@@vanessarenae5169 by using the ground plug in your electrical outlet run a wire with a plug insert to the ground hole only and attach other end to ground platform or metallic tape on bed have ground sheets also I guess

I like your test by the way at the end! That's really cool.
I'll take one of the kits as soon as they're available! great video btw.
Nice video mate
Great video! I made something similar to this a few months ago by stapling a coiled copper wire to the bottom of my shoes, running/stapling the end along and up my instep, then sticking the wire through my socks to contact my ankles. . .
Nice clippers
Wow 😃 THANK YOU FOR SHARING not expensive connection to Mother Earth !!!
Glad you enjoyed! Barefoot is natural but not always practical, so it's good to have an option when footwear is necessary :)

Do the socks I wear need to be conductive? There doesn't seem to be many five toe socks that also have silver or copper. Maybe I could cut a hole in them?
If I do this to a pair of shoes what will happen at TSA checkpoint?
Great demo. Maybe some industrial person could make a living doing this for people. I just saw one video saying there are silver lined socks too!
Absolutely! Earth Runners earthing adventure sandals have built-in grounding plug and conductive lace system, and there are grounding sheets and other similar things on the market if one searches for them. We need more earthing in our lives (:
Why was the step of inserting the grounding strip not show?
Can i just check grounding without emf wire?
Will water leak through the hole? Is there a way to waterproof the whole?
How does this affect the waterproofing of the shoe? Also, why do you choose the kidney accupressure point over others?
What is that tape? You didn't show that other rivet being installed.
I saw your short video on "grounding your shoes with a copper rivet". My question is: Does the rivet need to go though the little foam insert in the shoe, or just through the sole of the shoe?
how do you get the kit?
Can you give me a link to purchase the kit? Thanks! (I couldnt find it on the Earth Runners webpage).
Great.. I'm just afraid of lightning strikes..
anyway, It can be used when it's not raining..
Great video. Where can I buy the grounding tape. I own all other supplies:)
We ordered this conductive tape material from a medical supply company out Denmark 4 years ago, i don't remember their name. "Flat speaker wire" is another material you can buy off the shelf in replacement of this, but it may be a bit less comfortable.
Man, your giving society solutions to better health and wellbeing
Excellent kit. Thanks for that. I was thinking about this yesterday after learning about earthing for the first time. One question. Do you get any issues with the sole not being waterproof anymore ?
I can maybe anser this one. My Shoe has a little hole in the sole and there comes in water. I do not know how it is with the tight thing in it...
No, the compression fitting created from installing the rivet is water tight if installed to the proper compression outlined in the instructions.
For increased waterproofing, I was thinking of squirting a little 3M Marine Cement into the hole before inserting the rivet shaft and turning it around a few times. I always end up walking through puddles ... ?
Question!
Do you put the insole back in the shoe after installing the copper rivet? If so does it ruin the grounding effect? Thanks for the demo.
@PferdeBlog-LiifsaPeters if your really concerned about water use a tire patch cement to seal the hole around the rivet
Nice video.
What are the strips connected to the rivet?
That tape was part on an old modification, it's not required with our new DIY Kit. Here's our video on the updated DIY Kit which doesn't require tape: czcams.com/video/exMjdfd2AYk/video.html
hello, i am s very concern by the grounding way of life and i have everything to produce the shoes, but where do you fond the conductive tape because i can only find the copper conductive tape and it is not strong and easy breakable.....so i will appreciate if you can tell me where to buy that one...thank you nicolas
hey Nicolas, we have a DIY earthing kit that doesn't require tape. it has everything you need to convert your shoes into earthing shoes: www.earthrunners.com/products/earthing-shoe-diy-kit?variant
HI, I did the same thing (without the tape) with one river but I did not get a good earthing (it only decreased by 50%) , do I have to use multiple rivers? what is the name of your conductive tape? thanks
Variables like the moisture in the ground and what kind of surface you're on can affect the earthing conductivity. You can find any heavy duty conductive tape (metal).
@ Rewild Be Free.. Would this work for an apt which has high EMR's registering in the floors
.....from 7-25mG's ? How much does this protect a person in that situation??????????Thanks
what is the black strip? and why were we not shown what to do with it? is that another copper tap at the back/top of the shoe?
The black strip and copper ankle bits were part of an old modification. Here's our video on the updated DIY Kit which doesn't require tape: czcams.com/video/exMjdfd2AYk/video.html
Should t you be using the whole 1 to 1.6 ratio tho? Pretty close to what your suggesting I’m sure
What about buying moccasins with a cloth bottom?
Leather soles a certainly an earthing option, only draw backs are traction and durability.
I buy "softsole" moccasins (by minnetonka) on amazon; they are quite strong and durable; I can wear them just about anywhere; they were about $40, but worth it
U skipped over whatever the "Black/sliver" strip is. It was added in the footage but omitted in commentary. What is that added strip called?
Q: What gauge rivets should I buy? Half-inch length? Always copper?
These rivets are a little under 1cm for comfort & performance. Copper is conductive and strong enough for ground wear.
Hello, will this work with socks? or do we need direct contact with the skin?
Most common socks weights you achieve 90% conductivity right away and then up to 100% conductivty after you sweat a bit into the sock making it conductive.
Hello, great video! I really like those leather barefoot shoes with the leather sole. What’s the name of the exact model/brand that you have?
Is the target spot for K1, really supposed to be so far back that it's part of the longitudinal arch? Your demo appeared to mis-translate the spot, by the time you turned-over the shoe to punch it from the inside. Thanks for posting this video!
The kidney 1 acuprunture point is 1/3 the distance back from the front of the foot body (excluding the toes). I agree, I may have missed the optimal loction in the video demo.
Do you just do one shoe ?
Did you put the insole over the rivet? Wouldn't that reduce conductivity dramatically? It doesn't seem to with your test however!?
If your insole is leather/a conductive material it would be fine, but ideally you want your foot to make contact with the rivet.
Link to grounding kit
I just need to ask the brand of the shoe you're grounding? They look really comfy
great idea, yet... remember the inner sole is also synthetic, and deeated the whole purpose - am I wrong?
The new earthing shoe kit goes through the entire sole including the insole.

Great video and ingenious grounding ideas but what happens to your voltage when you use your grounded shoe on dry ground or a pavement?
Hierarchy of conductive earth: ocean > large bodies of water > saturated wet earth > dirt > rock > grass > gravel > cement > asphalt. Grounded shoes are best utilized outside on bare earth.
@@RewildBeFree so the asphalt has still conductive properties ? What about wet asphalt ?
Concrete less so, but all natural materials surfaces are best.@@joescheller6680
@@KonStunTine sorry I question the asphalt read specifically in one article it didn't conduct. Could be wrong.
so how do we know that when we are grounded we arent just letting EMF flow thru us to the ground? physics-wise how does this protect us from EMF? it grounds us but do the EMF energies just avoid us or still go thru us but dont bother us as much cause we are ionized/neutralized in some way by the earth..?
Thats a really good question, l dont know much about electronics but have thought that myself.
This is the million dollar question. The best practice is to avoid unnatural high frequency EMF exposure as much as possible. This voltmeter test is to demonstrate electron transfer between the body and the earth via the earthing shoe DIY kit. We promote earthing shoes as a means to connect with the (good) low frequency native EMF of earth as a beneficial bio input. Wearing earthing shoes in nature (Where most people are not able to tolerate being barefoot due to their tender feet) is the best practice where the main benefits are to be reaped.

I used to ran barefoot on rocks, walk on hot imu rocks as a kid. Wearing sythetic footwear throughout our lives has disconnected us from Earth & softened soles of our feet.
Nice, I love Vibram shoes but I wish they were grounding (Five Fingers)... how would you do this with a pair of those? Seems like another method would be better, I don't know how installation would work on Five Fingers, and they have an arch in the middle.
this kit works on vff with laces where you can open the upper a bit to install the midfoot rivet.
Surely the '' shoe insert '' placed over the conductive tape etc isolates one from ground ?
That's why he has the tape coming up the back of the shoe -- to have the contact with your heel.
But why then does he first go to the trouble of explaining about the best contact point behind the ball of the foot?
Fair point. The copper rivet at kidney one (K1) is the best negotiation of contact and comort. Check out our DIY kit 2.0. We did away with the tape and now it just got straight K1 rivet to the foot. czcams.com/video/m3BQwkE7aYQ/video.html
I like the look of those vivobarefoot shoes but, kinda spendy. I could potentially use any shoe as long as I installed the kit?
+Joseph B Yes the kit will work for all shoes with the following restrictions: 1. The sole thickness can't exceed 1/2". 2. You must be able to unlaces shoes to access the insole with tooling.
+groundedSymbiosis Will it work with converse, and where can i purchase this kit from?
Hang on, once you inserted the rivet you then put a plastic/rubber insole in..... which seperates the copper from your bare foot so how can that work??
Where can you buy authentic moccasins or socks that have rubber on souls
Depends on what you mean by authentic-- authentic, traditional moccasins aren't going to use modern rubber, they tend to be be pure leather soled. Modern takes on the moccasin style have rubber soles. American Eagle used to do moccasins.
What is the brand of shoe you are using for the video? And what's the link for the Do-It-Yourself grounding kit? This is great!!

Is it necessary to buy the kit if one has shoes with leather soles?
Leather soles allow for connection with the earth. This kit is useful for rubber and synthetic soled-shoes
I see you use some sort of conducting strip. It's not included in the diy-kit?
It is not! You can see what's included here: www.earthrunners.com/products/earthing-shoe-diy-kit
Where can I buy that conductive tape? It is not in the kit.

Why wouldn’t you install it the other way around so that the smooth side the side that is touching the barefoot?
Suppose to have smooth side touching foot didn't see that part. Smooth side inside of shoe
what if i have socks with sliver thread will that help the conductity match barefeet?
Conductive socks are not nessisary. As the foot sweats inside the shoe wicking into your sock and insole making them adequate conductors.
dont you need to put the rivit through the insole as well as the sole? you put the rivet in the sole if the shoe but then you civered it with a rubber insole which insulates your foit from the rivet
Thank you for watching. The Copper Rivet stays in contact with the sole of our foot. We meet the outsole rivet, with one inside. Please see at 2:00 minutes the install of the inner rivet.
anyone test grounding on a sidewalk or pavement with a meter? Im wondering if you have to look for natural earth to ground.
Can this be done in tennis shoes? Where do you purchase the kit?
The Kit is available here and can be used on any shoes with a sole 1/2" or thinner: www.earthrunners.com/products/earthing-shoe-diy-kit?variant=30049120722
so, the fact that you put the insert back in the shoe and wear socks, doesn't affect the conductivity?
If the socks are a natural fiber, it only drops the conductivity a small percentage.
Any problems at the airports with those shoes?
No problems with earthing shoes in the airport. But they are great to have when you land at your destination help normalize your circadian rhythem and minimize jet lag via earthing at the park!
I’m surprised the insoles don’t counteract the conductivity. I was wondering whether insoles had to be permanently removed and copper touching the foot directly or at least through a sock. I’m surprised to see this works even with the insoles in between. Does anyone know why this doesn’t pose a problem?
The grounding plugs reach the ground, and the foot, creating a circuit of conductivity. As long as the soles at 1/2" or less, you can turn any minimalist sole into a grounding shoe.
@@RewildBeFree thank you. I’ve been making grounding shoes myself however, I found that the rivet must go through the insole. Otherwise they do not prove grounding by the voltmeter or ground tester.
May I ask whats that tape that you used? And what is it made of?

Does walking barefoot do the same thing? If no, explain. Trying to learn. Thanks
barefoot in nature is a great way to get grounded! About a half hour as a healthy person. If you have pain, inflammation, etc. you can spend longer and eventually the pain starts to dissipate. Clint Ober, researcher in the field, has talked at length about the science of it if you're interested.
A product that can only be purchased between Jan - March of each year ..........unbelievable ..........are you on holidays for the rest of the year ?
They are available now! We may start offereing the kit year round depending on their demand.
Is this an earthing shoe kit from Clint Ober's company?
This kit is produced and distributed by www.earthrunners.com based in California.
If you wear shoes fully made from leather, you are connected to earth, as leather is conductive. It is the reason I won't wear them while working on live wires. Kolhapuri chappel available in India is totally made from leather.
Our ancestors used to go barefoot or wear leather-soled shoes. Leather soles would be ideal over rubber, but aren't always practical. The DIY Kit is a great way to incorporate earthing into modern life ;)

Ever heard of ground current? You may want to look into this problem. Also the way people are measuring body voltage nowadays is incorrect. You will need an oscilloscope to see what's really happening.
I have. The main thing being deomonstrated here is that the sandals establish electron transfer with the ground. We encourage people to use their grounded footwear out in nature. Can you recomend a oscilloscope to help us get a pulse on the ground current please.
The question is are the electrons being transferred a good thing? I use a 190 series Fluke Scopemeter. Two metal rods in the ground 50 feet apart will show voltage. Moving them in a semicircle will change the potential and give higher readings. You be able to show the direction of flow this way.

I'd be concerned that the insole is acting as an insulator and defeating most of the ground area.
Fair concern. Keep in mind that as the foot sweats inside the shoe wicking into your sock and insole making them adequate conductors.
@@RewildBeFree what is the insole made from that becomes conductive? I don’t comprehend how you simply put your foot in and right away became grounded through the insole in your video without sweating first
me too, it seems pointless to put a copper rivet through the shoe and then cover it with a rubber insole

@@RewildBeFree the only energy on top of the earth's crust or soil is magnetic... and it is so weak that a magnet has more power than the whole earth. Grounding is a "new age" bizness nothing more
yoyu just ruined a pair of shoes, i get a piece of sand in my shoe and can feel it, after a month of walking im sure that rivet would wear out and now your shoe is leaking water.
If installed properly, it is basically flush with the insole and can't be felt in this K1 location. Proper installation also prevents leaks. Copper is strong, which is why we chose this material to be placed under the foot, where it's going to face a lot of wear.
IT WORKS
I've noticed there are skeptics out there (and down there).
