In my opinion this preorder was a great decision from ALD so everyone who wanted could get a pair. I am easily ready to wait 8 months to get nice shoes for a retail price. Maybe without the pandemic these might have been released even earlier.
@@Micka320 I agree, the shoes are super clean and they should release more of their hyped collabs like this. Imagine a new 990v2 being released like this, even the people that don't want them can't get a profit on them because everyone can get one making the resell culture die
I like the release process- people get the shoes they really want, but have to pay for it with patience. Seems like it encourages less runaway consumerism and resell/hype spiral. Beautiful shoe, great review. Keep on keepin on. 🤘🏼

resell prices are also low because it was a preorder and most people who wanted them got a pair, which i would say is a good thing and i give them props for trying something new with the release and trying to meet demand in a more direct way. However, i agree wiht you and i think these brands do thrive off the resell so i dont expect they will keep doing it.

Reading the comments and it seems like a lot of people understood that it was pre-order. A pre-order seems like a fantastic idea. Seems like more people were able to get the shoe. I wish there were more pre-order
Joe Grondin (Head of Collaborations at NB) told/admitted on the Complex Sneaker podcast that this 1300 'release' was meant to estimate how many pairs of 550s they would need during those releases. If you remember, you could pre-order the 1300s before the first 550 release programme. They estimated the demand for the 550s (in part) based on the demand for the 1300s through the pre-order and adjusted the production capacity accordingly.

I've got my eye on some 1300s online & am really trying to avoid buying a non-refundable 🔥👟🔥 that's too big or too small. Size 11 in Air Max & Jordan fits well, but in my size 11 NB 997S's, my toes are on leather. That said, I hear 997s fit smaller than other 99X's, which fit smaller than 1300s. My foot is skinny but long so it's sort of a toss-up. (I'm prbly gonna buy...🤷🏼😉) Anyway, thanks for the great content

I hit on both the new 550 colorways through that early drawing. If ALD was trying the rectify the 1300 fiasco, those Ws definitely make up for it.

Big facts hit 5 pairs 4 from 1300 early access 1 from regular draw more then made up for the wait. And i was orepared to wait since i buy bootleg custom sneakers on the regular and have to wait months for those anyways
Seems like just resellers being mad they didn’t make money off a shoe, I for one support the release, I don’t care if I have it wait a while as long as I get my shoe without having to pay twice the price

I’m a tts 11 in all my NB pairs, and they all fit great. The local resell store has the pink one in a 10.5, so i tried em on, and it was way too uncomfortable from a width perspective. Sucks, cause i wanted these, but half down just didn’t work for me. I have wide feet for reference

It will take a very long time for these to go up. Already going for under retail in most sizes and still has a general release on the way. Yes will go up over time as the shoe is very nice and is an ALD collab, but might take over a year or more to gain value
