Worlds First Semi Autonomous WA500 Loader

- I travelled all the way to the other side of the planet to operate this Komatsu WA500 because it's basically making history as it's the first one of its kind (make, and model) to be operated via both tele op and/or supervised autonomy.
Besides it obviously being a ton of fun, and comfortable with almost no operator fatigue. The best part for me is I didn't even have to get dirty...If this doesn't attract the next generation I don't know what will.
What can I say, I always knew autonomous technologies would gain momentum quickly in our industry. Just never thought they would need to keep the human element (operator) in the seat for long.
Congrats to Teleo.ai and their new dealer SR-O Technology for officially making this technology available across the European continent. I am excited to watch the momentum continue with every new customer.

Do you think it will ever get to the point where an operator has never been in a "real" machine?
Hey man, I would really appreciate it if you can take a moment to respond. I'm moving to Canada next year from Ireland and I want to get into operating heavy equipment.. I'm 29 and not an idiot, I've basically no experience as an operator apart from some farm work a few summers ago running a grain cart, but other than that, nothing. Do you have any advice for someone in my situation on where to start? Thanks man
Funny says don't need Air conditioner. I've not seen any computers that can run in a hot environment without over heating. Never replace a man in a cab running machine. New vehicles are always failing now to much computers doing everything. One Pack Rat can destroy the best technology in one night
Seems like it alot slower than just putting an operator in the cab
U stil have to fuel it and grease it . If it's an automatic greaser u know stuff breaks
