Depends on body type, i see it mostly on Romanians and the Chinese though, when I did gym, I was skinny skinny and lanky, like Vika Komova, while some of my friends looked like Aly Raismans
If most gymnasts have low E-scores it just means that they've become stricter. They finally listened to our complaints (that difficulty is rewarded over execution resulting in medals in spite of a fall and/or bad form) and adjusted the system accordingly. I'm actually very happy about this! Let them fix their lack of split, twisted legs or leg seperations BEFORE they add another half a twist for an extra 0.1.
PS: none of this aplies to Yao Jinnan in particular, I hope she medals this year.
Underscored. No doubt
It's not just her E-Score, I watched a couple of routines from all gymnasts and they're having extremely low E-Scores (in the 7 range)... The only one who got the "right" E-Score was Kyla Ross

I can not tell if she likes this routine. But even she doesnt like it, She is still underscored.
Same thing happened in 2009 worlds, the E score went down by more than a point....

Just something about her dance elements... It doesn't look like she enjoys the choreography and it kills it for me. Floor is about preforming and the gymnast needs to sell it in my eyes for it to be a good routine.
tbh I didn't really like the choreography but the tumbling and leaps were beautiful
is a mystery to me how they all have such skinny legs when they all do so much power conditioning and are so powerful ?? i used to do a lot and my legs were huge ?? dont get it
So what if it doesnt make it for you? it doesnt take over the fact that she was underscored, your opinionds regarding that dont matter at all
The Chinese are amazing at the tumbling but not that amazing with the artistic dancing... Although great routine, she's amazing especially in bars
I kind of get the feeling that maybe she's just not all that into the routine. I mean it's cute, and let's face it she's a darling little gymnast, but I think the choreography is a little bit immature, and she's not the most expressive gymnast I've ever seen. I think that's one of the problems that China has had is with expression because they just don't really have any gymnasts who can really emote and perform on floor. The tumbling and the dance are good it's just lacking in expression.

china have never had a good feel for floor. It has always been that way. They are unbeatable on bars and beam however. Always have been.
Except for the 1996 Olympic squad. Kuy YuangYuang, Ji Liya, and Mo Huilan were all stars on floor.

I honestly don't think she is underscored. I think she preformed poorly. Her tumbling was good but everything else seemed awkward and forced. Sorry!
