After 3 months of mucking about with all the tips and tricks, I found the optimal clarity using quest 3 for AutoMobilista 2. I have tried: Virtual Desktop SteamVR Oculus Debug Tool Oculus Desktop App OpenComposite This is where I have landed and it is so much better than straight out of the box. Connection: USB C cable method (5m) - Make sure you get one that supports data and power. Check your motherboard port - I have 1 USBC 20Gbps and when tested with Oculus USB Test, it could only reach 3.1 Gbps Note: I have tried having a dedicated WIFI7 router at 6Ghz band just for this VR. It's not bad (1200Mbps reported by the Quest 3 but I do get random visual artefacts and stutters. Dont get me wrong, it want to go all wireless but it's just not stable and the headset in wifi PCVR mode is not reliable. When it is working, it's great. For Automobilista 2, I ended using Oculus natively Oculus Desktop App: 1. Go to Devices, click on your headset and change the Rendering Resolution Get it as high as your system can support. I landed on 4480x2400 @ 120hz (powered by 4090 FE Card) 2. Go to Oculus Debug Tool, follow what this video says but I also set Pixel Per Display Pixel to 35 and Encode BitRate to 750, any higher than 800, I start seeing lag and artefacts.
Once connected to Oculus Link open the game via the Oculus Library. I hope this works for you for this game. I saw a real visual improvement (could be placebo) using this method as I was about to ditch the Quest 3 for a used Pimax 8K headset, now I finally got it working with a few sim racing games, I think I'll keep it. I will post a video on my channel as I recorded what I did and a few laps in this game.
@@robertodolsak3566 - i’m so sorry, i no longer own the meta quest 3. upgraded to pimax crystal and its brilliant, crystal clear imagines straight out of the box.
Super.I also wait for crystal light which i ordered two months ago. I had reverb g2 and after broke i bought quest 3,which is not that good for simrace like g2 was.
