If you want to know: Desmond Doss was by far one of the greatest soldiers that ever lived. Desmond was raised Christian so he believed in God. He wanted never to hurt anyone or even touch a rifle, when he joined the army and didn’t want to pickup his weapon he was ridiculed and sent to a military prison. Luckily he was proven innocent and he went into Japan as a combat medic with nothing to protect himself. Then when everyone left the ridge he was still up there for days and nights saving the wounded soldiers left to die. He saved 75 men one by one without a weapon, even though he was under heavy fire he did the best he could. Desmond Doss was the first CO to receive the medal of honour during world war 2. The battle he fought in is known as the battle of Okinawa. God bless
