This was, by far, the best activity we’ve done on Kauai.
I did this with my family, including my 80 year old mother who’s in good shape. We all loved it ! It’s beautiful and relaxing .

My husband and I did this one when we were on Kauai about a year and a half ago and can agree, it is a GREAT tour! Could tell we were from the northern/mid-west...everyone else was like 'oh my gosh cold' and we were like 'huh, this is nice x D '

LOVE THIS TOUR. Probably my third favorite tour on Kauai. Doors off helicopter tour is #1 followed by a Na Pali coast boat tour. I enjoyed this video, as I do with all of them. I also enjoyed the Kauai Safari Rum tour. Will be back in Kauai in October and looking forward to this tour again.

Wow never heard of this tour! Looks like it is really for almost everyone( handicapped person here but I think i can manage if I don’t fall out of the floaty!) Great alternative for people who cannot go on a hike ( unfortunately).

My husband and I did this back in 2018 and really enjoyed it. Being from Canada, the water was not that cool for us but others seemed to disagree. lol Great video, you captured the experience perfectly!

We did this tour a few years ago and LOVED it!! I'm very claustrophobic and was worried about the tunnels but I only had a difficult time during the last 30 seconds of the longest tunnel. 😕
Loved the lunch at the end, the tour guides were AWESOME! One of our guides started singing a Backstreet Boys song and many of us sang along! LOL It was a blast!
P.S. I was so grateful for the quality of the miners helmets as I hit my head several times on the walls of the tunnel! Once, it was quite hard and I'm sure I would have had a concussion if not for that helmet! 😂

We did this years ago. Our daughter (8 at the time) was very nervous in the tunnels. Had to leave the tour with her while hubby and son continued on. No one yelled “shame” lol. They were very nice and professional. I loved the tour and would like a do-over!
perhaps your daughter wants a do-over also! I bet our son wouldn't have loved the tunnels either

We are coming to Hawaii for vacation ( first time super excited) in august but we’re going to Maui. Do they have anything like this there? We’re staying at the Aston ka’anapali shore resort. Mahalo
There are irrigation canals in East Maui but tubing isn’t allowed. I’m afraid you’ll have to head to Kauai for this experience.
I did this tour in 2008. And I AM claustrophobic! Oops! I did ok until we all turned our lamps off in the middle of the longest tunnel! 😂. Focused on my breath and tried not to freak out. 😮. But it was fun and it was beautiful.
You have guts! We’ll done on controlling it. That tip can help others who are worried about the tunnels
Is there a way to go around the tunnels rather than going thru them if you are claustrophobic?
@MsAutie there is only one canal it looks like and 5+ tunnels. Youd have to stop and get out and not continue the tubing.

@@TheHawaiiVacationGuide Puerto Rico is a US territory, a Commonwealth of the United States. Regardless, tubing ancient aqueducts has been a thing on the island via a tour company kinda like the one there on Kauai.

Is there a better time of day to book this tour (morning vs afternoon)? Does the weather (temp or rain) come into play?
Aloha Cheryl, it is a rainy part of the island so rain happens. Not a big deal. I don't think the time of day matters. Go in the late morning when it is a little warmer. It will by 75 by 8am!
How accessible is the mountain tubing from Lihue airport? I could not find the bus to get there. I don't think it's worth renting a car either as I only stay there for 8 hours.
It is a quick drive from the airport, take a taxi, uber, or lyft as I mentioned in your other comment. Enjoy your quick visit to Kauai!

I was told it's $300 and only lasts 45 min... 🤷🏼♀️
It is expensive at $149 a person. The tour is three hours and the tubing part is 90 minutes I think. Th so for watching
It’s worth the money. I’d do it again.
