Pawpaw I understand you’re hurting your pain, but I also know that you follow God’s way and it was in God’s plan to move Billy on so that he could have his herd ,it was one of the best things you could’ve done for him.. Farming is a rough thing to do and you have to go with your instinct and pay attention to God. He will instruct you and tell you what you need to do. You don’t need to apologize for that. That is why God put you in charge of him it’s going to be rough for a while. It’s kind of like losing Heidi all over again, but yet with time you’ll be OK I’m behind you 100% in this decision and I’m not going anywhere. I enjoy your videos and I enjoy your farm sense. Watching Jake’s video of getting Billy back in at 1am was the funniest Billy video. He was a wonderful bull that has produced the most beautiful calfs. I hope the farm he went to treats him as well as the Morrow family did. Billy was cared for by every single member of the family. He will always be apart of the hill. I'm not gonna lie that I have shed a few tears watching this video. I only got to know Billy through a few minutes of video, maybe a few times a week. You lived and raised Billy, so I know this decision hurts you more than us. And how you explained your reasons for rehoming Billy even though you owed no one a reason makes it easier to understand and accept. I wish Billy many more years of happiness with his new herd. I watched him fight with Tex many times. I remember Jami held his head above water in a flood once and saved his life. I remember Lester when he came across Santiana and her first calf yelling "you're not Tex's baby. Billy's son Huey sure was handsome. I love his wonky horn and how gentle he is and I understand his need to have a purpose. You're a good man Paw Paw, putting Billy and his needs above your own When you drive over to your raised garden each day you won't have to see him stood at the fence looking all forlorn and sad. Evening pawpaw I understand why you rehomed Billy and it was the right thing to do for Billy , he will be soooo happy having a herd of cows to enjoy and watch over , he will once again be king of the pasture and his smile will come back ! He knows you love him and I’ll bet he’s thanking you everyday and I think after a couple of weeks if you do go visit him you’ll see he’s a very happy bull and he will show you his herd , courtesy of your unselfish gift you gave him from your heart to his !! Your right there was no where for Billy to go on the hill and Lester has longhorns and two bulls plus the shorthorn bull he rescued and is having castrated so he can stay with his herd !! Hopefully no one will be upset you rehomed Billy but if there are some they either haven’t been with you long enough to know how much you loved and wanted Billy to be happy , or they aren’t thinking of Billy’s happiness , either way it will pass don’t let it bother you , especially since you know and those who know Billy know all you cared about was Billy’s happiness and you gave him that with your unselfish gift of rehoming him so he could have that happiness he deserved!! I think those flower seeds washed in to beautify around Heidi’s camp brought in by God to show you he is pleased with how you’ve beautified Camp Heidi for you snd the family to enjoy anytime you want a beautiful shaded area to stop and rest and maybe have a cookout or a picnic!! Moving Billy along reminds me of when my Daddy moved my Hereford bull, Bullywinkle, to his next pasture and ladies. I was so sad. I had raised him from a calf to a big ole bull. He was like Billy; so sweet and so calm. I missed him so much but it was better for him.
PawPaw, I know that had to be a hard decision you had to make about Billy. You did the right thing to make him live a happy life. I loved seeing him and thought he was so sweet but he will be happy now. Who knows, he might have died of depression if he didn't get moved. You are a great man! Evening pawpaw I understand why you rehomed Billy and it was the right thing to do for Billy , he will be soooo happy having a herd of cows to enjoy and watch over , he will once again be king of the pasture and his smile will come back ! He knows you love him and I’ll bet he’s thanking you everyday and I think after a couple of weeks if you do go visit him you’ll see he’s a very happy bull and he will show you his herd , courtesy of your unselfish gift you gave him from your heart to his !! Your right there was no where for Billy to go on the hill and Lester has longhorns and two bulls plus the shorthorn bull he rescued and is having castrated so he can stay with his herd !! Hopefully no one will be upset you rehomed Billy but if there are some they either haven’t been with you long enough to know how much you loved and wanted Billy to be happy , or they aren’t thinking of Billy’s happiness , either way it will pass don’t let it bother you , especially since you know and those who know Billy know all you cared about was Billy’s happiness and you gave him that with your unselfish gift of rehoming him so he could have that happiness he deserved!! I think those flower seeds washed in to beautify around Heidi’s camp brought in by God to show you he is pleased with how you’ve beautified Camp Heidi for you snd the family to enjoy anytime you want a beautiful shaded area to stop and rest and maybe have a cookout or a picnic!! Moving Billy along reminds me of when my Daddy moved my Hereford bull, Bullywinkle, to his next pasture and ladies. I was so sad. I had raised him from a calf to a big ole bull. He was like Billy; so sweet and so calm. I missed him so much but it was better for him.
PawPaw, I know that had to be a hard decision you had to make about Billy. You did the right thing to make him live a happy life. I loved seeing him and thought he was so sweet but he will be happy now. Who knows, he might have died of depression if he didn't get moved. You are a great man!
