A few of the pre 75 unders shouldn't have been DD'd ... they were in good nick and could've done another meeting, glad the boys in the over saved those Mk1s for another day.

Its ashame people don't realize once these classics are gone there gone forever they won't ever remake them a true car love like myself don't care how much there worth because my classic I will NEVER sell her and there's not many left because of event like these as entertaining as they are...
the cars used are rot-boxes well beyond salvation, so they're not depleting the no's of classics overall, though i do see where you're coming from.

I gotta get me some stock in welding equipment.Some of the artwork is imaginative.This past time seems safer than boxing or other contact sports.It`s also the only time where drinking and driving might be encouraged.

i could cry as my idols get written off singer vouges etc are part of british history and shame to waste decent ones tbh and all you ford fans did u see the granada mk1 coupe id bet theres lots ford fans would want as a donor not now lol i couldnt justify killing a rare classic if its a shitbox then track n kill but if rarity best to save than destroy but thats just my opinion great too watch though lol from days of world of sport in 70s as a kid i wanted to try banger racing but getting more expensive now than ever to try enter any motorsports

@@glennpowell3444 you forgot big volvo estates etc newer jags still will be lots strong cars too destroy main probs are all the electronics on new car as bypassing to bare basics too run engine components usually lots use standalone ecu for this style sport or rip injection off and use old school carburrettors there will never be shortage of scrappers to wreck and after its totalled scrap it in for weight recoup some cash big saabs are good too electric cars are being forced upon us hence why at moment im building a pair of modified hillmans a hunter gls (one with holbay engine and twin 40 webbers gls spec only) and a 2door hillman avenger mk1 ive removed holbay engine and stored carefully as rare as rockin horse shit same with both cars now running ford zetec engines one in hunters turbocharged and its ultimate sleeper lol looks like standard till lights go green and i scream off infront lol ppl save decent classics now as goverment cant ban historic vehicles off roads when electric shit is compulsory and youd be shocked at how cheap too run as no yearly m.o.t test and free road tax as well as cheap classic modified insurance im 105 pounds a year fully comp and dont need worry of emissions laws id rather tool around in a classic with modern touches than a jellymould modern car being honest electric cars are shit always were always will be ill be petrol head till i die and have started preparing for new electric laws by gettin 2 classics now before a laws stop us being able to buy older cars

An awful lot of these cars are badly rotten in safety critical areas, A and B pillars + sills, that's a rocker panel for American viewers. Then the doors all need partial re-skinning.

Yes, they might be fixable, but will you get your money back if you sell it? We made a lot of really boring family cars in the UK from the 1950's to the 1970's & rust was a serious problem.
Not to mention style.
N,J I agree too certain extent we did build some shit cars in those years but we had stylish cars too that are worth saving wasnt enough mk1 granada coupes imported to uk to justify wrecking as a panel can be over a #1000 pounds each not all cars are wrecks ive saw rare tidy cars wrecked that couldve been saved i think banger racers should strip rare trim parts chrome interiors etc for selling too classic community as only need shell and running gear and decent engine stay safe all racers have fun but remember what your wrecking could hold that part needed by someone whos spent labour of love restoring old car and make u extra cash to next car but great sport too watch and i salute you mr purling for years of entertainment from your kind and stay safe brian in scotland

hello there car fans does anyone in banger community have any decent mk3 or 4 cortinas worth restoring as id be willing to buy beofre its cannibalised id even get a trade car if needs be like big volvo estates etc leave message and we can move to next stage of contact brian in renfrewshire wish was a track near me better than playing dodgems in old fields illegally like we did in teens late 80s lol
