- I wrote this song over the course of a month using FL Studio, and was really surprised with how it turned out! There is a part two which I wrote the following year, feel free to check that out as well.

11 years later and this is still an amazing song. 😍 Still revisit this and "Fall into the Sky" from time to time. trance perfection
11 years later still working on the thing that's going to make this seem like it was childs play!
3 am and I'm struck with the thought of an old flash game, the name of which I can't quite seem to remember. One quick search through Newgrounds tower defense games lands me at Symphonic Tower Defense, that was the one. I recall this game had some really good tracks from around the internet at that time, and I very distinctly remember this one the most. Almost hard to believe it's been so long, but after all this time I still love this song. It's nice to actually hear it at full length and original quality. The beat is perfect and the melody is mesmerizing. Definitely a song to remember.

A the build before 2:21 it was like that feeling you get when you go up a really frikin huge roller coaster at the starting ascent-ramp-thing when youre all psyched and nervous, and the sustain at 2:14 is the huge-ass drop that leaves you breathless and then what follows is an intense rush of relief and joy that youre somehow still alive but insanely hyped and you feel like... you just broke free from everything.

@joeseta when u click on a sample, a window called "Channel Settings" will pop up. next to the pitch knob in that window, there will be a little box with a number in it (default is 2). Thats the pitch knob range. put that as a higher number, and u'll be able to make the pitch really high using the knob. hope this helps. cheers :)

personally i love the calm quite piano sections at the start and end, so 2 things: do you have a song thats more of that, and if not, you should make one
I have FL Studio 8. Is 9.6 better at making songs like this?
Also How do you make the sound sound minimalistic a the beginning then swell out???
How did you get the pitch to go that high? I've tried auto clips with channel pitch and such, but it would never go that high. Any tips?
@trancecrafter Wow that's a lot of effort! This song sounds very proffesional (;-)) but I don't think I'd ever spend 90 hours on a project... Is that the most you've ever spent on a project??? (I would think so because of how you said it's for a contest...)

i listened to the whole song, it sounds like something is missing, the song never seems to evolve
sweet and upfilting, but in the middle could be more beats,
it's really good, but it gets a little repetetive... i think you should just build a song up and make the main melody shine out of it... i like the break though, but once is enough realy for my taste. Think you could really make a hit out of it with a little bit of composition changes. but like i said before.. its a great track non the less.

Loved the intro, but at 2:20 and on im just not feeling it. The entire flow and energy you made with the first 2 minutes was ruined in my opinion. I still think you should build on that bassline at 1:50 or at 2:22 instead of going into a completely different song.
I'm not trying to be mean or anything, I just think your wasting these remarkably good transitions. Like at 2:22 it just didn't feel right, and at 5:01, i was hoping for some energizing outro or even some dubstep type thing.
