  • Lucid Group, Inc., widely acclaimed for raising the bar in luxury electric vehicles with the award-winning Lucid Air, the recipient of the 2023 World Luxury Car Award, is redefining excellence once again with the reveal of the groundbreaking new Lucid Gravity luxury electric SUV.
Lucid’s highly anticipated Gravity SUV builds upon the innovations first seen in the Lucid Air sedan to create a luxury electric SUV without compromise: a high-performance vehicle with space for up to seven adults and their gear and a projected driving range in excess of 440 miles.¹ The Lucid Gravity SUV will make its public debut today during the Los Angeles Auto Show, with production starting in late 2024.
“The Gravity SUV represents a significant leap forward for Lucid’s world-leading technology and design. Customers will find an unprecedented combination of space and maneuverability, luxury, and versatility, all seamlessly integrated into one remarkable vehicle with the driving experience and range of a true Lucid,” said Peter Rawlinson, CEO and CTO at Lucid. “Lucid’s innovative proprietary EV powertrain technology and our holistic approach to vehicle engineering already enabled the Air sedan to redefine what was thought possible from a luxury sports sedan. With Gravity, these innovations evolved and our next generation technology is applied with even greater effect, resulting in an electric SUV that can achieve over 440 miles¹ of range with a battery pack a little more than half the size of some of our battery-hungry competitors.”
The new Lucid Gravity heralds the dawn of a new era for electric Sport Utility
Vehicles: an unprecedented combination of attributes previously unseen in a single vehicle and a projected range in excess of 440 miles.
Lucid innovations in EV technology and packaging deliver an expansive, luxurious interior for up to seven adults and their belongings, without the huge exterior and poor maneuverability often associated with traditional full-size, three-row SUVs.
Featuring a brand-new SUV platform and next generation of Lucid’s award-winning, proprietary electric powertrain, Gravity will deliver an exhilarating driving experience.
Lucid proved its capability in producing an extraordinary, acclaimed luxury EV sedan; now Gravity opens Lucid to the far larger SUV market.
Lucid Gravity lands in late 2024. As with Lucid Air, pricing for Gravity will start under $80,000.

I've seen this demo car at Lucid's West Palm Beach studio and a week later when it moved to the Miami studio. Although already planning to get one, I made the two trips because I was a little concerned about its exterior looks. No longer. This is one sleek, beautiful vehicle which reprises Lucid's astounding first act with efficient interior space packaging in the Air sedan. Can't wait for Gravity Dream Edition orders to open up. It'll be hard to say goodbye to our Honda Odyssey, but this is the first EV that looks up to the task of matching its utility and space for six adult passengers.
We've had a 2022 Lucid Air Dream Edition Performance sedan since late 2021. It was our third EV, with the first two being a 2015 Tesla Model S P90D and a 2021 Model S Plaid (which we still have). We are now hard and fast converts to the Lucid brand.

Facts. Even Polestar 4 is better and more fin then this.

@@andreasl4507 I think you're confusing fact with opinion. Both vehicles aren't going to start deliveries until the fourth quarter of this year. On what basis can you claim one is "more fin then" the other?

It's not a SUV. It is a lifted wagon. Manufacturers need to stop calling everything that rides high a "SUV" so it'll sell and be bought by dumb consumers.

Agree on both points. The Gravity reminds me of the R-Class Mercedes, another vehicle which didn't slot easily into the minivan, SUV, or station wagon categories. Personally, I don't pay much attention to what category is assigned to a vehicle. I buy them for fulfilling whatever need I'm trying to address. Right now I'm looking for a roomy, fast, well-handling luxury EV with decent range that will seat six adults comfortably to replace our Honda Odyssey, preferably without looking like I'm trying to push everything else off the road. The Gravity is the most promising contender at the moment. And, having driven a Lucid Air sedan for over two years now, I'm comfortable with the brand and its service network.

@@blakespringpasturemortimer9168 And yeah it really bugs me the way they classify vehicles and people accept it and buy it. Great example is the Porsche cayenne gt. What a doubt concept. But, of course dumb people buy them. It’s 20k more expensive than a normal cayenne for less space. The same amount of space as a panamera I might add. So why would someone not want a car, the panamera, that handles better, is lighter so less fuel and rubber wear and many more things. Oh wait, the cayenne gt is called a “suv”. Everyone has to have SUV’s. Eye roll.

That's a smaller vehicle, not a 7 seater like this. If you want something exciting, why would you be looking for a 7 seat vehicle?
